  1. How ? We all have opinions, mine differs from his/hers - tells me I add nothing when he/she posts this: “Wow. Fascinating stuff. So, what now?” Which adds nothing to the debate- so why bother. Mind how you go mate. Good luck
  2. Whatever, just don't respond to anything I put then. You asked me to explain my points, I did and you started thinking you were funny as I have a different opinion to you on this particular point. You've had your arse handed to you - go away
  3. Granted. But I think you miss the context it was in
  4. We agree to disagree - on your way now
  5. My point is, we didn't have time to play the long game - We needed to react quickly. We didn't, I can't see that being on Klopp given the position we were in, even if that is his preferred way.
  6. Was he ever in a position where he had 3 senior CB's injured long term, but was top of the league at Christmas whilst defending the trophy at Mainz ? You don't 2 functioning eyes to see how we struggled and needed quality, quickly
  7. And I answered - but do you disagree that a manager would wan to buy a quality CB in the situation we were in? and if that is the case, who is it on that we didn't
  8. Might have been on Klopp, I wasn't there, but I suspect neither were you? My opinion is that any manager who wants to compete, and Klopp is certainly that, would want to buy a decent, ready CB when you have your 3 first choices all out with long term injuries? - We clearly didn't do that and it cost us dearly. The way City operate, and Chelsea to a great degree, de-values the trophies they win ( buy ) I don't necessarily want that, but remember - "We can compete with anyone" apparently ( just not on a regular basis it seems )
  9. That’s not what I was implying. Don’t be silly now
  10. 2nd is meaningless - Doesn't go on a wall of honour does it?
  11. That's a bigger question. If you finish 2nd and you see progress, then no. If you have taken the club as far as you can and the club is expected to win trophies, then yes. Its all about levels. If Norwich finish 2nd, their boss gets a statue and head hunted for a big job Its not always the managers " fault " that you finish 2nd either. In our situation, I feel that we have the best manager we have had for a generation and someone we will struggle to replace when he does go. I also feel that a manager of this calibre should be backed financially in order to compete - and I don't think he has. We had our foot on the mancs throats when we won the league, they have strengthened, as have City, Chelsea - but we haven't done enough. We should not have been in a position where we were looking in the bargain bin for centre halves on the last day of a transfer window when it was clear for months that something needed doing. I don't think that was on Klopp.
  12. 2nd is nowhere mate, not for a club like ours. I don't think we've shown enough ambition to be there and not just thereabouts - I get some are happy with " thereabouts" ( not necessarily you ) I'm not. Whilst it keeps the season exciting, finishing 2nd does fuck all for me
  13. I get what you are both saying, but I hear people being happy with thereabouts. to me, that means just that not necessarily winning
  14. I don’t want to be thereabouts, they rely on keeping us thereabouts as it keeps some people happy and gives a belief that we are just short. I want us to be right in the conversation of winning trophies, important trophies, every year- just like this club should be about
  15. It bothers me when players do this. I felt the same way with coutinho. When you sign a contract you should consider how it may impact on your “ dream “ to play elsewhere and don’t just look at how much you are getting paid.
  16. Sir Harold of Kane has not turned up for training at Spurs. Club and National captain setting a great example
  17. I know its counter productive, but it just fucking annoys me. Point taken though
  18. Clever yet again - every other story either makes or saves us millions - Echo is shite Liverpool could make millions after Real Madrid fans rave about former Reds winger - Liverpool Echo
  19. And even cleverer Liverpool could soon make millions from 14 hidden transfer clauses - Liverpool Echo
  20. Liverpool bank £108.5m boost from FSG’s long-term transfer plan - Liverpool Echo We are clever again!!! I wonder if there is a limit on how far back The Echo will go ?
  21. We have 2 players coming back form long term injuries and we don't know their level yet, 3 if you count Matip who will pick up injuries. Milner not getting any younger. Hendo will pick up injuries, Keita, Ox etc - Its fair to say that we will have lots of players out. Its fine to sell the dead wood, as long as we replace them
  22. Apparently, If the Information Commissioner investigates and finds that there was a breach, Hancock could be awarded compensation. You couldn't make it up
  23. To be fair, none of those things are his concern - he is there to coach the team. Rafa is pragmatic and will say what he has to say
