  1. UPDATE: We have a winner! Destiny clan Primeguard completed Vault of Glass - the game's toughest encounter - before any other group with a time of 10 hours, 42 minutes and 3 seconds, scoring a "world first" in the process. The high level raid went live at 10am UK time yesterday, and when it opened its doors a raft of fireteams went through in the hope of finishing it first. Vault of Glass contains two hard-as-nails boss fights set across four encounters. Primeguard was a six-person team made up of three Titans, two Hunters and one Warlock. They died a combined total of 1606 times, but scored 5733 kills during the clear, making for a kill/death ratio average of 3.59. Their average lifespan was 2 minutes, 22 seconds. Thanks to Destinydb for the stats. Bungie acknowledged Primeguard's achievement in a tweet. ORIGINAL STORY: Bungie has made Destiny's Raid available to play, and players are preparing to flood through its doors in an attempt to achieve a "world first" completion. The raid is called Vault of Glass and is only available to characters level 26 or higher. It also requires six players, and remember: all must be friends; there's no matchmaking for the raid. Bungie has described the Raid as the hardest challenge available in the online first-person shooter so far, but the rewards are tantalising: there's a raid set of gear up for grabs, as well as high level materials. "Not everyone will qualify," Bungie said. "Among those who do, not everyone will succeed. To even approach this trial of teamwork and combat, the Guardians in your Fireteam will need to be Level 26. "Bring with you a team that has made the commitment to work together. Configure your loadouts so that you are powerful together in a variety of ways. Communicate with each other. The Raid will demand that you operate as a team. Cooperation is the key to your success." Bungie added that it is unlikely players will finish the raid in one sitting. Your progress will be saved for one week, but to resume your mission where you left off, you need to follow the same Fireteam leader. Many of the attempts are being streamed via Twitch. We're following StreamerHouse, which is sorting its team out now, but there are others available. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-09-16-the-race-to-defeat-destiny-toughest-challenge-begins
  2. Share on: Facebook268 Twitter65 Google+ Reddit By Wesley Yin-Poole Published Wednesday, 17 September 2014 Bungie has issued a hotfix for first-person shooter Destiny that doubles the frequency of public events. Public events occur at scheduled times within the game world, and typically drop tough enemy encounters down for players to attempt to defeat within a time limit. Players had complained that the public events did not occur often enough. This latest change should help make Patrol mode in particular feel more eventful. Meanwhile, the hotfix addressed Xbox One bootflow issues, game crashes and improves stability. In an update on Bungie.net, community chief David "Deej" Dague said: "Not every update that you apply to Destiny will contain revolutionary changes to the player experience. "As we support the world of Destiny beyond the launch, much of what we do behind the scenes will be dedicated to ensuring the services that support the game are stable."
  3. I will get a clan sorted. It will more than likely be tomorrow now due going to Anfield in 1 hour. Don't you have to be level 20 to get the weekly challenges? My PSN is AJBlaikie.
  4. Anyone fancy getting a TLW clan together so we can do raids together? Also are the salvage online game just for the odd weekend?
  5. I have just done the moon strike and it is quite challenging. I was level 14 and was playing with 2 others around the same level and took us 3 or 4 goes on the last boss. One of them quit so there was only 2 of us.
  6. The Fusion Rifle was alright in single player but sucked online so I got a auto rifle which I like. Just done the first strike mission and it was top. Anyone know where I can buy some good armour from?
  7. I have started as one but I plan on playing through with all classes. I like how it is one map around where the city is and you are getting local resources to help the city. Hopefully it will lead to more maps but I think they will just be on different planets rather than more on Earth. I have opened Earth up but not been yet. I am only level 4 and was fighting with these level 8 and 9 things and came to the conclusion. I need a bigger fucking gun.
  8. Took about 1 hour and half in the end. But I was watching something on Now TV. I have done the first two missions so far and I am quite liking it. It has the potential to be a good game though and its been a while since I have played a good first person sci-fi shooter and I never played the Halo games.
  9. I stuck it on at 19:30 and the patch is taking ages to download. It said 4 hours but has gone down to 55mins now.
  10. Turned it on for a little go and played for 2 hours. Good game play and great graphics so far.
  11. Got the new PS4 version on order and meant to be coming soon. Better turn up for the weekend.
  12. You can pick that metro game up for £25 on the tesco direct website.
  13. Just got £5 off it with a deal on Tesco direct then I had coupons worth £5.50 which had been doubled to £11 so ended up paying £32 for which is a bit of a deal.
  14. Got Hotline Miami on PS+ on PS3. They have just realised it on the PS4 as cross buy so got it on that for free.
  15. It is currently £40 on Amazon. I have already got it pre-ordered off them and had a £5 gift voucher on it too.
  16. Sony's next major system update for PlayStation 4, which will bring the firmware up to v2.00, will introduce the Share Play feature that was first announced at the console's initial reveal. Share Play allows players to share a game online with a friend, inviting them to watch a stream - and letting them take over control of the game as well. It won't be necessary for your friend to own that game, and the act of passing the controller to another player online has pushed Sony to imagine the feature as a 'virtual couch'.
  17. Any one play Diablo 3? I am eyeing it up on my PS4.
  18. Not got around to playing the DLC yet but they are meant to be bring more single player DLC out why it has been released on the PS4. Better be part of the season pass.
  19. I like what I have seen of this on the Alpha and Beta. Not tried the online but got rid of the beta. Don't want to spoil it for when it comes out on 9th September. Trust me to have a few very full weekends after release so I can't play it properly.
  20. Just got my codes but off camping tomorrow so can't play till Sunday night or Monday. Going to have to give it ago then.
  21. Where as Killzone was good and looked good I felt a bit let down as the 2nd was one of my favourite games on the PS3 with a good online game. The 3rd was very good too. I really like the big battle aspects to them but on the new one it is lots of sneaking around. Didn't take me that long to complete and I did it on the hardest setting. Meaning to go back to it thought to get all the trophies.
  22. It is really rubbish how they have different rules regarding technology depending on who you are playing. Should be the same rules for every test set out by the ICC
