  1. I can FINALLY buy the new home shirt!
  2. If this all goes off like the club are claiming it will, what a massive fuck up by H&G it was to bring in Broughton! No matter what reservations people may have had about Purslow, I've always been impressed and encouraged by Broughton and so long as nothing unforseen shows him up to be a snake, I'll be forever grateful to him for his work in outing Cancer and AIDS.
  3. Burn, Georgia Burn, feel the flames coming up from inside, Burn, Georgia Burn, see the walls come crashing down from the sky-y-y. Good band, TK 421.
  4. Ha fair enough. I am an impatient cunt! Pretty pleased with the billboards as well.
  5. I just hope he isn't part of the Tyrrell Corporation. No? Not one Blade Runner fan? I'll get me coat.
  6. "We're so bored by your awful football that we'd rather hide behind this banner than watch you kicking David N'Gog's ankles"
  7. But that much is true, if Share Liverpool FC could raise the £100m, that's now enough (according to recent reports) for 50% of our club. That would leave poor old H&G with minority 25% stakes and no real say in anything unless they united against the fans majority. Now that would be ironic!
  8. I'm a proud member of the hurricane generation. When that hurricane cut the electricity off in 1987, what was there left for parents to do but fuck? No telly, no lights and nothing in common, 9 months later there I was! And they didn't even name me Higgins.
  9. A terrified Wayne Rooney jumps 30 yard on imaginary skis.

  11. This is a good idea, but it'd be nice to see a complete overhaul of the reserve league. I think this has been suggested by Rafa and Wenger before now because the number of games played alone is ridiculous especially for a squad as stupidly large as ours is. Then we wouldn't need to send our youngsters to another country and they could still train with the first team. It's useful for work permits though.
  12. Surely there's a rich Liverpool fanatic out there who could buy us. It took Moores and Parry years to find someone willing to buy Liverpool wheras people have queued up to buy Man U pre-Glazer, and Arsenal even before the Emirates was built. To be honest I'd rather be a club run by honest Liverpool fans finishing mid-table than by a couple of Vampires finishing in the top 4, or even run by Sheiks/Oil barons winning everything in sight. It wouldn't be real success. I can't see how Chelsea and Man City fans can possibly feel any sence of achievement if/when they win anything. Compare buying the Prem to a team like Portsmouth winning the Cup. Now that's an achievement.
  13. I never thought a weekend where Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal and Everton all won could ever be considered decent, but under the circumstances we did get lucky.
  14. If we miss out on 4th place, then we bloody well try our best to finish higher up next season. We are Liverpool FC, we won't fall apart just because we finish 5th or 6th one year. We've gone through lean spells before and probably will again. It isn't the end of the world, as supporters we need to have more patience than the Soccer Saturday/Sky Sports brigade fans that are common today.
  15. About bloody time! Well done Leo! Expect Torres to be in the top 2 if he has an injury free 2010. (In other words, if he retires from international football!)
  16. I'd vote for Layne Staley if I could, he went from his former band members laughing at the idea of him fronting a band to being arguably the greatest frontman of all time with Alice In Chains until his sad death. But of the choices, I don't know much of Phil Collins' stuff, but most of the Foo Fighters work is quite bland, though two of the albums are very good. Dave Grohl himself is a very good singer and an excellent musician, so for that he gets my vote. If his song-writing was just a bit better he'd be even more highly regarded than he already (deservedly) is.
  17. Alice In Chains Soundgarden Screaming Trees
  18. This is classic. Thanks for the funniest end to a birthday I've ever had had!
