  1. Funny that, as our success was built on cheap unknown players plucked from obscurity, who were then drilled into our way of playing, which was 'tactically' light years ahead of anything we've seen under your messiah, even with all these supposed better players. There's a difference between being run poorly off the pitch and dismantling a tried and tested formula and opting for methods that are at odds with winning leagues in this country. The rest of your post is just apologist nonsense that I've heard many times before.
  2. Just sums up how low our standards have dropped that. He'd just about get into Boro's side, great guy or not.
  3. I hate sacking managers, I really do. It goes against everything we stand for, but the direction of the club is more important. Even now I know it's the right thing to do but I'm still torn.
  4. I'd prefer Kenny in a behind the scenes role too. But I'd also prefer a manager with connections to the club and its traditions, past or present. Carra is a future candidate, but we need to start grooming one now. Big Sami for me.
  5. Funny that, as 'Fergie', the most succesful manager around, who is on course for a 3rd title in a row, prefers those 'obsolete' methods, which doesn't say much for the newer over elaborate methods of your foreign messiah like coaches. Unless it takes more than simple, effective attacking football to beat the likes of Boro who couldn't buy a win before we made them look good.
  6. I'm sure I'll surive the trauma. I care more about the direction my club is going in. Fuck it, not even worth getting worked up over anymore. More important things in life.
  7. Anyone who blames Kenny for our demise in his latter years and ignores the effect Hillsborough had on him is not even worth bothering with. Just another johnny-come-lately trying to re write history to defend an manager so obviously out of his depth.
  8. Yawn. Your pithy put downs to defend the indefensible are becoming more and more desperate.
  9. Depressing isn't it. For a man so obssessed with the fitness aspect of the game, we must have the most unathletic squad in the league. His 'plan' is so programmed it's untrue. I seriously believe he'd be far happier at home on his computer than having to go through the whole rigmarole of allowing players to move from their pre determined zones and express themselves.
  10. I'd rather see us go back down the nostalgic route than yet another 'dynasty' building, over tactical, fancy foreign coach. We already have a dynasty, we just need someone who knows and respects it. I'd love to see Big Sami groomed for the role. LFC through and through that bloke. Maybe JC as his assistant even further down the line.
  11. That 'shite' cost us 25 million quid. I doubt we'll get half that back.
  12. I've said this before and I believe it's one of our biggest failings. We know we lack the quality of other teams around us, but they should be going out there every week and really taking the game to the opposition. Other than a few occasions this season, we lack that winning mentality to really grind wins out when we just can't be arsed, and that has to be instilled by the manager, but his approach lends itself more to tactics than desire.
  13. It's all a load of bollocks. He had no more to spend than us or the mancs, he just bought the right players. These mongs forget that it takes more than money to build a title winning team, see Benitez. The fact that he failed at Newcastle means fuck all. It's a manager's graveyard that place.
  14. Haha, I've just rememberd that he brought Ngog on. Got to larf.
  15. How is it private if I'm getting it from all comers? Please take your pompous smug attitude and stick it up your aris. We'll be lucky to finish within 10 points of the mancs this season. At least we'll have won the mini big 4 league eh. Another fallacy off the list.
  16. He constantly harps on about needing to score, yet continues to play Dirk Kuyt up front on his own and refuses to drop him if he's missing chances, which he did today.
  17. Course you do. Do they allow laptops in bars these days? Hehe.
  18. Why would it like? We're not exactly storming the league under Benitez are we? Everyone is so quick these days to laud these supposed superior foriegn managers and look down their nose at a more simple approach.
  19. He didn't. Just another stupid dig to deflect from the manager. Utter madness to rest Benayoun, our most in form player. The tinker merchant strikes again.
  20. If being a passionate Red who is hurting over yet another false dawn means I need professional help, then I'm all for it.
  21. Chelsea seem to be doing alright.
