    i believe Torres is still injured - that they haven't fixed his underlying abductor issue much like Gerrard's groin is still being sorted/can never be properly fixed? don't want to make Rafa into the bad man but he over played both when they should have gone for surgery earlier imo

    re: aquaman - i do hope we keep him and play him behind the strikers cos he's impressed on the Asia tour hopefully his injuries are behind him now? edit: we have lots of different attacking players available with different qualities now - especially compared to this time last year - no idea how Kenny sees this team shaping up for the game at home to Sunderland on Aug 13th tho re: Carroll - he's just not fit enough imo - we need to train him hard and bulk him up a bit cos he could be our battering ram...

    re: Parker - 'Arry has to sell to buy but once Modric is sold he will tie up Parker think some clubs are looking at buying that Palacios fella as well - or rather 'Arry is trying to ship him out

    part of the Downing thing (for me at least) is this: i could accept the signing of Downing easier if i knew we were getting Mata (or someone who really is top class) for the other wing the Mancs have got Villa's best player and we have got (arguably) their next best player - however these 2nd tier players aren't going to get us challenging for the title any time soon
