Thought he improved after we equalised. What annoys me about his current role is he tends to just patrol one part of the pitch instead of dropping deep and getting involved in the game, which makes it a lot easier for the likes of Makelie to marhsall him. He's basically got a free role and licence to cause havoc but he goes into hiding too much.
Not sure this applies to tonights game. It was a semi final of the CL against a very strong side, you can't just throw caution to the wind. First half we were poor, but after that we had them on the ropes.
Just not our year.
If a deal was days away do you really think he'd bother coming to see us play and have meetings with the manager about signings?
No point in giving people false hope, best to accept the reality and deal with it.
To be fair, Chelsea are a tough side to break down, but I thought we did take the game to them after we scored and had them on the ropes at times.
Just not our night and year.
But the fact that we've never scored there in some crazy run of games and then score 2 but still go out does rankle a little bit.
What a fucking nightmare having to want Chelsea win the EC. A club like them just doesn't deserve to win such a prestigeous comp.
At least with the mancs they have bit of history and tradition, but I just couldn't handle it if they won a 3rd one and the double.
That's what concerns me. It only takes one positive article and everyine is opening the champagne, at least on a few sites I've been reading anyway. Not so much here, where there's a bit more objectivity.
I'm proud of the lads tonight. First half was awful but we showed after that what a great side we can be in this competition. Just not our year
Save the over analyisis for tommorow.
I can. I'm proud of the lads tonight. First half was awful but we showed after that what a great side we can be in this competition. Just not our year.
