No but you said Rafa was right to buy Keane over Villa because he will settle quicker and is used to the premiership etc. However i find that to be complete bollocks just because they come from the premiership it doesn't mean they'll settle straight away, Pennant came here 2 years ago and still hasn't settled and a similar thing happened to Bellamy when he was here. I just think its too simplistic to say a premiership player will settle straight away and should be the reason you sign one over a more talented foreign player. The quality of the player should always be of the most importance not what league he's currently playing in.

If foreigners find it so hard to hack the premiership how come there are so many in it? People used this same crappy reasoning when we signed Pennant over Alves yet 2 years on would you say Pennant has settled here?

Agree with that i think we still need a creative attacking midfielder and if selling Kuyt means getting one then so be it. We're so well stocked in the striking position we're having to play some of them on them wing which im not a fan of and doesn't aid our football.

I understand Rafa sold alot of players (mostly junk he's brought i might add) but he's still getting money one way or another to spend on players, i find it really tiresome people are still peddling this "Rafa is starving" crap when he so clearly isn't.

Both Downing and Riera aren't up to the level required at Liverpool. How about we target a left winger who has a bit of quality about them?

Fair enough but the main argument thrown up by most people supporting Xabi's sale is the tiresome "he hasn't preformed in the league" which doesn't stand up. If Rafa is booting out Xabi for tactical reasons and replacing him with a player who is inferior in every way lets see how successful that is at the end of the season ;)

Fair point seems a bit of a pointless argument though anyway, anyone who saw Xabi is first 2 years here wouldn't be saying he "couldn't cut the premiership"

Completely agree with that, these high standards Xabi is being judged with should apply to EVERYONE within the club, as i've said on numerous occassions if Xabi is getting booted out over Premiership performances there should be at least 7 or 8 ahead of him in the queue.
