    I can't pretend to know much about him. Great pedigree as a player. In black and white, his managerial record seems okay without being great. What is it that makes him stand out for you? (This isn't meant to sound like a test, honest!)

    That's just daft. For me, there was plenty to celebrate after Istanbul (though 09-10 tried my patience, admittedly).

    Nope. The decision to move Rafa on has proven to be a terrible one. Bring him back. If Carragher, Gerrard, or the tea lady don't like it, move them on. (In the case of the tea lady, I'd want to see her looked after financially.)

    I agree. But (in my dreams, perhaps) I believe Rafa would get us challenging again quickly, and have us all pulling in the same direction again. Under Rafa, even when we were doing well, it felt like us against the world, and I loved that.

    A world-class coach who loves the city, the club, its fans. With a supportive Board, I believe he'd have us challenging again, and quickly. There were times when Benitez had me tearing my hair out (when I could find what's left). But over the six years these were far outnumbered by the good times he provided. He made me proud of my club.

    Exactly this. I've got some fantastic memories of Houllier's time at the club, but he's made himself look absolutely foolish with his comments about Istanbul and the player's text about comparative trophy hauls.
