  1. Agree with this - seems much more composed these days.
  2. Let's be clear - Patrick Barclay is a crap journalist with no inside track at all.
  3. Henderson is an excellent footballer. Knowledgable Sunderland fans (few and far between, but I work with several) rate him very highly indeed. He will play right side of midfield (he's not a central midfielder). The Mancs were after him (Ferguson not the worst judge of a player), but hopefully won't get him. I prefer £18.5m on the very best young talent (which Henderson is) than £120k per week "free transfer" let-downs. I don't consider myself a better judge of a footballer than Dalglish. I have no knowledge of Liverpool's transfer budget, or the financial model that's being used to put a value on players, and determine the salaries offered. But this isn't Hodgson and Purslow doing transfer business on behalf of our club; it's Dalglish, Comolli and FSG. I'll sit back and enjoy the summer!
  4. Nothing I can disclose on here - which I appreciate is not helpful, but I'm sure you know the score. I'm not interested in besmirching Carragher's reputation. If people understand what he did, and agree with it, then fine. But LFC fans should know what he did.
  5. A newspaper article as proof? Dear me. You carry on taking what the media tells you as gospel.
  6. I love him too. I'm 44 and feel like I'm 24 again.
  7. Carragher was a hero of mine. It gives me no pleasure to know that he put his own best interests before those of Liverpool FC. It is fact. But on the subject of bullshit, would you care to substantiate your Benitez to Juve/Inter Sky-generation rumours. Which are, of course, false.
  8. They're not wild theories. They're fact. I'm delighted that Kenny is in charge. I'm not delighted about the role that Carragher et al played in the sacking of a fantastic man and manager like Benitez, and the appointment of the criminally incompetent Hodgson.
  9. Carragher would be doing himself a big favour if he kept his big gob shut. Anyone who knows anything about his disgraceful behaviour in the last few months of Rafa's reign can see through the gibberish for what it is.
  10. Who gives a flying fuck about Roy Hodgson? He was a turd of a manager who deserved every bit of criticism that came his way and more. Even ignoring Dalglish's previous achievements, what he's done since he came back in is astonishing, and deserves everyone's respect.
  11. Absolute bullshit. Watch the game again and focus on Gerrard - terrible almost from start to finish. I'll cut him some slack 'cos he's just back from injury. Lucas was our best player. Not least because he was having to compensate for Gerrard's inadequacies.
  12. You thought Hodgson could do a job at Anfield. Your opinion on football matters is worthless.
  13. Could that conversation really have happened? Could Hodgson really have spoken to Kenny in that way, or more of Hodgson's bullshit?
  14. Loving this. Just loving it. Alan Smith called it absolutely right: an "intelligent" performance. The defensive panic is no longer there. The passing is. The movement is. Imagine what we saw today but with Suraez and Carroll integrated into the team. Oh, and by the way (and I'm boring myself now), Carroll is going to be fantastic for us. He will scare the life out of "hard men" like Terry and Ferdinand; his team-mates will love him for that and everything else he'll bring to the team. Let's put the last few years of shit behind us, forget any disagreements we may have had with each other, and get back to what we've always done better than any other set of fans: support our team!
  15. You're saying Dalglish is an idiot?
  16. Who gives a flying wotsit what the fee is? The owners are backing King Kenny's judgement to the tune of £35m on Carroll. Didn't we want owners who would back the manager, and stop pissing about with Voronin-style free transfers? Well, that's what we've got. Stop whining. I've said it elsewhere - Carroll is a very, very good footballer. He's a bit of a knobhead off the pitch, but he's young. If anyone can sort him out, Kenny can. On the pitch, how much will you enjoy seeing this guy steamroller Ferdinand, Vidic, Terry et al. He's a beast of a man. You'll love him before you know it.
  17. Agree. Very, very good player. Hard as nails. Bit mental. What's not to like?
  18. Unfortunately, I'm required to do quite a bit of corporate entertaining at St James Park. Having seen a lot of Carroll, I think he's a very, very good player. Will be surprised if we sign him, though.
