  1. I must say, it's been fun being called a liar/bullshitter by all the no-marks with 20-odd posts. (Although I'm glad my mate got it right, I must say...)
  2. Well, no offence to you, lad, but I've been here a lot longer than you have (so you probably don't remember), and been right about things before (including Mourinho leaving before anyone else knew about it) via this same bloke. If I'm wrong, I'll hold my hands up, but I'm just passing on what I've been told today.
  3. This is what another mate has insinuated - although he is not so well connected, so I'd take that with a pinch of salt.
  4. Should be announced tomorrow, according to my mate who works on the sports desk of one of the quality nationals. Take it or leave it, but he was the one who told me about Mourinho leaving Chelsea before anyone else knew about it - my first ever post on here, I believe.
  5. What makes it a 'cunt thread', in your opinion? I'm merely asking if anyone can confirm or deny what I've been told. If someone can clear that up – and I'm sure someone can – then it would put my mind at rest.
  6. And what looks like a bunch of medals between the two shirts.
  7. I have been informed this is Steven Gerrard's house. Can anyone confirm or deny this? 5 bedroom detached house for sale in 31 Hall Road East, Blundell Sands, Liverpool, Merseyside, L23
  8. I'd say Messi is the best player I've ever seen. I'm not 15, I'm 34, so I clearly remember Diego in his pomp, as well as Zizou. I can't comment on the likes of Stanley Matthews. I'd say, like many others, that although Messi is the best player I've ever seen, he still needs to do it for some years to be 'the best player ever', if that makes sense.
  9. Also, watch the fourth goal against Zaragoza (the only one he didn't score). That was actually the best goal he 'scored' all night.
  10. At the end of the day, we watch top-class players because they can do things we can't do, but we dream of doing. Messi does things that top-class professional players dream of doing, but can't do. I seriously think he might be the best ever, and this from someone who watched Maradona in his pomp.
  11. I think that's pretty poor from Redknapp, tbh. You'd hope a professional would be up to speed on something like that - he's hardly being asked to cast his mind back into the depths of time. I've probably said it before, but personally I'd like to see the likes of Hugh McIlvanney, Martin Samuel and Henry Winter as the studio panellists. You might not agree with what they say, but at least they tend to make interesting points, and make you (at least sometimes) think about things you hadn't considered before, unlike the received wisdom that dullards like Redknapp and his ilk trot out. If I wanted to hear a pub bore, I'd go to the pub. Oh, and more Gordon Strachan wouldn't be a bad thing.
  12. I'm guessing that's a joke, but if you're serious, of course they can't return the ball, for obvious reasons of impartiality.
  13. Any one of their players. I can't recall a more woeful performance in recent times. Plain embarrassing.
  14. How can anyone vote for that dog's helmet Terry over that boil on a dog's helmet Gary Neville?
  15. Am I right in thinking this is not going to be on Sly/ESPN???
  16. So just after negging me, you decide this WUM is a WUM, when he's clearly been a WUM since the beginning, hence my calling him out for not even being able to spell as well as the average eight-year-old while he's trying to wind us up. I won't neg you back. I'll give you a revenge rep, but it's a sarcastic one.
  17. You're right. It was great. Not a patch on The Wire, mind, but then what is?
  18. You sounds like a young boy, so I'm going to be kinder to you than most of these mean cunts who negged you. Torres will be back when he's back, if you want to know what the speculative dates are you can look them up on Google. You're right about Ngog. He tries his best but really isn't, in my opinion at least, up to the task when it comes to the Premier League. Hopefully that will change, but I've got to say that watching him live up the Arse on Wednesday night didn't exactly fill me with hope. That is all. Good luck to you, my friend, and don't let the negging bastards get you down.
  19. I dunno. Surely if someone looks shit on YouTube then they should turn out to be ace, shouldn't they?
  20. The Greek is an unassuming big hairy, scary monster who goes about his business quietly but seriously, and very professionally. I wasn't expecting the second coming with him, but I have been more than pleased with his performances. And he came without an exZorbaitant fee.
  21. Also, warming up once, chipping the ball between me and another lad while I lived in France, got the urge to shoot at goal. I was on the halfway line at the very edge of the pitch. Caught it on my knee and WALLOPED it. Made a massive 'CLANNNNNNGG' off the crossbar as I hit it. "C'était jolie, ca," said my French chum. I was an utter disgrace in the match, mind.
  22. Best goal ever? Five-a-side cage game, received the ball on my chest, dropped to my knee, felt the defender rushing up behind me and chipped it backwards over my head, spun, he went straight past, hit it on the volley straight into the far corner. Like Gazza's goal, but better. True story, I swear it. Also got battered into the concrete edges from behind at full pelt in the same game. Fractured my rib, but didn't realise it till the next day - finished the game. Still, if you're gonna play like Pele, expect to be kicked, I suppose.
