Konchesky got 4 assists and 2 goals in his whole time at fulham, insua matched that last season.

Konchesky aint better then aurelio, just because we made a fuck up on dossena before doesnt mean we have to do it again.People say money is a problem then why are we going to waste what little we have on shit like konchesky,if we cant find a player good enough stick with what we have or spend more to get a player of the required quality. -
Yea but with them we either didnt know how good they were or we thought there was a chance they may improve, with konchesky we know he is average and not good enough and at 29 is not going to suddenly turn in to a world beater. Poor signing, adding mid table players isnt going to get us where we want to be.

No it wasnt, when he was at lyon he was very highly rated, arsenal were after him for ages aswell as man u but madrid signed him the year they last won the league. He has had a lot of injurys but is a top player, if we could get him for a decent price he would be a good signing.

Ben afra would be a top signing for us and especially at that price, also I rate m diarra aswell, when he went to madrid he was viewed as one of if not the best dm in the world. If we could get them 2 and a striker I would be made up although we need a left back aswell.

No its not masch is recognised as the best dm in the world and is argentina captain,toure went for 25m who is not better then him and older while khedira who only got in the german team in the summer went for 14m when he had one year left on his contract. There are too many other examples to go through who arent as good as masch who went for more melo, both diarras, emerson, hargreaves etc etc. Masch is worth atleast 25m and if we get something like 15m it will be worse then the owen deal as we could keep masch until next summer and still get 15m or close to it. Lets hope the manager has the sense to not sell for anything as ridiculous as 15m no matter how late the bid,

I would be happy with nzogbia, he can play on either flank, has a good cross and I seem to remember last season he made the most succesful dribbles out of all prem players. His attitude problems have seemed to be about leaving the club hes at because they were shit so I dont think he will have problems if he came to us as he would be playing at a top club with top players.

I am even more against the loan move now that I know it is juve,if he had went to an italian club where he would have played every week I could maybe understand roy but loaning him to juve where he wont play every week is baffling since roy said this was the reason he was loaning him. All the rafa haters who hated the 2 defensive midfielders might have to put up with it again this season.

Dirks a good player but if we could get close to what we payed for him I think it would be good business, we need an out an out winger (turan?) and if the money was used to get one I would not be against dirk going.

I dont see the point in loaning him out esoecially if it is for the whole season, if gerrad gets injured who is our creative midfielder in the central midfield position?

A number 2 is not going to play many games so it makes sense to have a home grown one as back up so it frees is up to look for players in other positions. From what I have seen of cavaleri he looks a decent goalkeeper, I think we should hold out for atleast 2m, he is certainly better then some goalkeepers in the prem.

It as also clear that we will sell mascherano for a bare minimum of 20m if we get ripped off, 4m for insua and maybe a 1m for cav.So that is 20m left over after poulsen not counting what has already come in and the budget roy was supposed to have, we can afford a better left back then konchesky.

This is simply not true he was excellent against athletico in the semi, when he went off we didnt play aswell and he also played well against chelsea and these are only a couple I can think of off top of my head. I think our best team would include aqua with him either ahead of gerrad or the other way round with cole on the wing and I think we may well end up playing this way a few months in.If we do play with cole on the hole then aqua has to be back up as I cant see him and gerrad playing together in the middle.

Hodgson rated alessandro pistone as a better left back then roberto carlos so just because he rates him doesnt fill me with confidence. If he is better then insua it is defensively not by much but going forward insua is better so if we want a defensive lb why dont we just play agger there instead of wasting money on konchesky. With brad jones now we have enough home grown players so I dont want hodgson using this as an excuse for signing him.

No hes not, hes poor on the ball and average defensively,insua is better then him going forward and there is not much between them defensively with insua having years ahead of him to improve. Poor signing if this comes off,not good enough for west ham but suddenly good enough for us?I dont rate figueroa either but Id take him everytime over konchesky, he is simply not good enough.

Skrtel had a dodgy season last season when the rest of the defence was also awful but apart from that has been immense,I remember him having drogba in his pocket on a few occasions, he is still young and the best cb at the club imo.

No fucking way masch should be let go for that, he is worth 30m atleast when you look at what barca paid for toure,the least we should get is 25m, if we dont get that bid or very close to it he just has to accept hes staying. 12m ffs and hleb who id value at about 3m and rate as shit would be a massive kick in the balls and bad management by roy, even if he was forced to stay until next summer or jan we would get atleast 10-12m, tell barca 20m (atleast) and hleb (if roy wants him) or fuck off.
