We loose one we also loose the other..... They are both wanted by others with ambitions, if we show a lack of the same, which is what we do if we sell any one of them, it is a clear signal for the other to get the fuck out of dodge.... To be honest - if we do loose them both I think we might just loose Suarez as well - and to be honest we'd (as a club) deserve it too!

We need another CB anyway - carra is in his last year and not suited to play a high line anyway!

THIS! If we could do something similar with Downing it would be great.... I really want Ramirez, just have a feeling he'd be great for us..... But without owners who understand that it cost money for quality I can only hope...

Nah, knowing his history and the fight he's had to get where he is - his character is strong - I don't think he will... If he fits with the style and formations he'll do well for us.... It won't be the pressure that'll get in the way...

So we now have one wide player left, who is shit and completely wasted without Carroll up front, and a hell of a lot of central ones! Lucas, Gerrard, spearing, Adam, cole, aqua, shelvey, Henderson, suso.... I'm guessing we're shipping out a few there as well... Hopefully Adam, cole and spearing. And we need to bring in some creative players to replace to wide players who have left! Diego ribas should not be to expensive, Suarez at Anderlecht and Ramirez at bologna are excellent players I think we could get as well....

Give it a fucking rest.... This bleating about CL football being the be all and end all is bollocks..... If we had owners with a little ambition who are willing to pay what other top teams are paying then we have as good a shot as most teams in the world to buy any player we want! FFS Spurs are not in the CL next year, yet they are still attracting players... Jovetic and Ramirez are two player I would think we would be perfectly able to buy if the owners by their PR yap about CL football... Instead we are buy cheap youngsters or player nearing the end of their contracts and getting rid of the high earners at the club.... Borini and Dempsey are players I feel improve the squad, but we need a hell of a lot more if we want to compete for a top 4 spot..

One can argue both ways with Henderson - but Adam, Spearing and Downing should all be flushed! If we could get someone like Clasie in to cover for Lucas and someone like Ramirez in for Downing we'd start to look like a proper team.... If we let Carroll go he should be sold and the money reinvested in a class striker/front 3 type player..... (Jovetic/Van Wolfswinkel/Jong/Lewandowski/Damiao/Diego/Soldado). - Clasie for Spearing Allen for Adam Dempsey for Maxi/Bellamy Ramirez for Downing Borini for Kuyt They are mostly upgrades in my opinion (and we get a younger more hungry group of players), considering our lack of goals and the new system to be implemented. But at the same time I am not convinced that they are enough to challenge for 4th, as I think the other top teams are strengthening even more..

So Spurs and Arse had a negative (net) spend prior to 2011 (a profit) and then you say we spent 100£ million (gross). Now, the owners put in about 30£ mill (net), and whether or not that should have been enough to put us into 4th, confusing matters by using the gross number of 100£ mill ruins your argument! If you want to compare numbers at least compare apples and apples not apples and oranges......

Fucking hell we're in some trouble to get into top 4 next season - everyone but us is upgrading their squads big time.... (City and Utd well ahead and now Chelsea and Arse getting all their targets signed) I really had some hope we could get Belhanda....

If we lost out to managerless Spurs, these owners and the management that we have are even less capable of running what aspires to be a successful football club than I feared.... Terrible news ( this was without a doubt the only certain transfer to happen this summer and we even fucked this one up - embarrassing if true), we're in shambles and so far this summer there have been few rays of hope other than a conformation that we'll stick to pass and move football (god knows how long he'll get to stay, as we're lightyears from challenging for the CL at the moment....) If the yanks are not willing to invest what it takes they can get the fuck.... (there is no way to do this on the cheap)

Reina playing in a high defensive line formation will let in less goals than any other keeper next season - mark my words..... Hopefully we have the sense to bring Valero back, he'll get Reina into top form once more and Rodgers will play a system that is designed for a sweeping keeper such as him.... Top top class, and with leadership ability he is a man we'll regret to loose... We need to hold on to Skrtel as well, because if he goes I'm guessing Agger goes to, and we can forget about replacing those two in a hurry.....

But these guys are world class in terms of positioning, and they are pretty quick, now that's a world of difference....

If he wants to get the results needed to keep the job he better have a different opinion than you.. We need quick aggressive players who have great positional sense, and Adam is sadly lacking all of these three traits.... He might be a good passer of the ball, but I am afraid that is not enough in order to make this system work. It will be interesting to see if Gerrard can adapt!
