Its a smart move for him to stay in France and continue his development with a better club. No point going to a top team abroad yet where he'll play less and probably stagnate - as has happened to almost all the young French players over the last 5-6 years that left their club too early in their development. This is the main reason why the French national team still largely relies on the now-geriatric 1998/2000 generation, they've lost almost a whole generation of good footballers...
