Surely rafa now has to recognise that Sami and Carragher at the back is far and away the best method of stifling opponents. In our past 2 European games we have prevented 2 of Europes best sides from breaching our back line with that pairing. Why change what isnt broke and bring Pellegrino in? Our defence seems to become a shambles when Benitez wheels out the Long Thin Pork Sasuage, its clear the other 2 arent comfortable with this formation and yet the manager seems to stick with it as if hes trying to prove a point. Im grateful to rafa for giving us a fairly exciting season, but i wish hed accept when certain things arent working and hold his hands up. I reckon if he dumps Pelle 4th can still be ours

To be fair to Gerrard at least he actually had a moan about some of his Chelsea Buddy's challenges this time, unlike Cardiff and Anfield. He wasnt terrible last night, he was just average. He did give the ball away a bit, but i think when your playing against Chelsea that tends to happen more because Makalele anticipates so well. Xabi had a fair few stray passes last night but youve got to make allowances.

The contrast when the TV cameras glanced across their fans and then ours was hilarious. The Chelsea fans were sat sensibly with glum looks and smart clothes. Silent Alarm is a great little pop album. Every track has its own unique charm and it definitely improves with repeated listens. Its most noticeable when you have it on in the background and you find yourself singing along without realising. Has anyone heard The Arcade Fires album? Its a future classic :thumbup:

Carragher will definitely make it and should be a contender for player of the season outright. The lack of coverage he gets outside of Liverpool will mean he gets overlooked though. I wonder whether these people in the media really do believe gerrard has been better this season than carra or there just stirring it up (again).
