    I have very little interest myself in this league but that can probably be seen from the 1 point i managed to get all season! I have about 20mil in the bank but don't even have any interest in spending this at the moment as in thsi format the CL just doesn't do anything for me!

    I won my Xpert league yesterday with 2 games to spare! Hopefully my players will get a big increase at the change report or I could be coming straight back down again. Not bad for my first year. This league has got a lot more of my attention this since the season began as I think the CL in its current format is very poor and uninteresting; without the cup format it is just like all the other leagues.

    Yeah I have to agree lot of the changes seem to be totally random. I had a player with average form of 8 and he received a + but didn't move up in skill bars. My young goalkeeper who i persisted with all year had form of 15 but didn't get an increase so looking back the decision to stick with him was not worth it at all!

    yeah that would all be nice but my defence is in desperate need of strenghtening and I've no other cash to do it with as the older players I have aren't worth getting rid of! Also if Hanson gets another bar increase he'll be an 11 rated 24year old and is the current captain of the team!

    Was at the game yesterday and although the game itself never really got going the perfromance of some of the players was really encouraging. I thought the two centre halves (Palsson & Mavinga) were very good in particular Mavina who reads the game very well but could do with putting on a few pounds as he was out muscled too easily on a few occasions. I thought Vincent Weijl did well in midfield and is not afraid to go into a tackle while Bruna started very well he faded badly as the game progressed. Upfront i was impressed with Pacheco who really does look like a very talented player indeed but I have to say having seen Nemeth for the first time I was left very underwhelmed having read reports of him being ready for some first team games. I know it was only one game and a practice match at that but he certainly didn't look like a player who is ready to make the step up to first team action at the moment. Although it should be noted that the Dunmanway keeper was probably man of the match yesterday after pulling off a number of very good saves during the game. The highlights are on at 10.45 this evening on LFC tv if anyone is interested

    That should be a very good change report so. Mine are poor enough although thats probably due to the shit defence I had all year which cost me way too many games. My young players have the best form so hopefully they'll improve and maybe generate some much needed money if i can sell them on!

    The CL on the other hand is the one team i am definitly thinking of getting rid of as the league just doesn't hold any interest for me at the moment. The big attraction was the cup format so if that comes back I'd be interested but otherwise I'm out next time round!

    This season has been a real struggle for me in the Ultra especially as i thought i'd do ok with the form i finished last year with. Today was diffeetn though nothing like an unmanaged team to get the players going again, 6-0 I have been finding it very hard to score all season although i probably shouldn't have stuck with my young keeper all year either, but hopefully that'll pay off in the change report!

    Guys you might be able to help me out with something. I was looking at my opponents for the cup match in the Xpert league and noticed that they substitued a player in some of their matches recently. I didn't know you could substitute players unless they were injured but this player wasn't injured. Is this possible? if so i am missing out as my team seems to concede goals late in games which could be due to tiredness. I have attached the link for one fo the matches: Match report Any ideas how this could happen?

    Yeah but not much comfort in that given that there are against shit managerless teams! Then again I'll take any win i can get at this stage!

    "The Ultra division 3 has gone to shit. Again. Think we've got 5 active teams now" It may be gone to shit and 3 teams might be managerless but somehow my team still manage to be struggling very badly this season!

    I made probably the biggest mistake so far in the CL by buying a new experienced keeper in time for the 2nd leg of the cup today. I thought one of the main reason for my poor results lately apart from having some shit players and not enough money to buy quality was that the teasm had too young an average age (23yrs). I bought the only keeper i could afford (6 rated, 33 year old) but he put in possibly the worst performance ever by a keeper in any expert league. The old fart recorded a rating of 2! yes that's right 2, if i played my centre forward in goal he'd surely get a higher rating. Anyway got all the rest of the tactics spot on but still got bet 2-1 and went out 7-4 on agg. He'll get one more chance to redeem himself and if he shits himself again he rot in the reserves before he plays again!:telloff:

    I got bet again in the Ultra; can't understand I bet Thants in the cup yet can't seem to get any results in the league. Have out my star midfielder up for sale to try and raise soem money to strenghten the rest of the team. He's the only one worth anything over 10 mil. Hopefully I'll get enough to buy 3 or 4 decent players to improve the squad. Only downside would be that he's only 23 and already a 10 skill rated player.

    What way does the cup work in the expert league as I don't seem to have any fixtures visible for it eventhough the league only started 2 days ago? Or does this carry forward from last years perfromance or something?

    Todays season opener in the Expert league was another example of how much this game is unpredictable in the extreme! Todays opponents were a really poor side who we should have beaten comfortably but only managed a 1-1 draw for some unknown reason! Although they got the tactics right (so did I) if anything else in this game was to be taken into consideration we would surely have seen a comfortable win for wermes. Comparison of other factors: Team form going into the game was 16 for Wermes and 15 for Home utd Skill levels - Wermes had only 2 players with ratings under 8 while Home utd only had 4 players at 8 or above! Wermes had a combined skill level of 98 which was 13 bars higher than Home Utd's 85. Cobined team ratings of 27 for Wermes against 20 for Home Utd and teamwork values of a near perfect 78 for Wermes while Home Utd only managed 72. It is when results go like this that you sometimes wonder why you bother putting the effort in at all! Not trying to moan but sometimes you can actually get better results in the games were you forget about and don't have any tactics or proper team selected. Is anyone else as baffled by this as me? I know football is supposed to be unpredictable but today was like a conference team coming to Anfield and getting a draw! Doesn't happen

    Managed to sneak through 5-3 on aggregate; was full sure that I'd get bet by more today as I had to change formation as well!

    You sound almost as gracious in defeat as a certain red nosed scotsman we all know! :whistle: Ah no just messing still can't understand that myself as your team are definitly far superior to mine but that's the crazy thing about Xpert is that sometimes you just don't know what is going to happen; that can be a good thing but more often that not it's annoying as you set a team up correctly and still get bummed by poorer teams. Ah well looking forward to the rematch and as it is the Expert any of us could still go through to the next round!

    Thanks for that; i have applied to take over although it looks like it will be yet another relegation scrap for my introduction to the Kremlin. No doubt the players will all lose skill level at the change as well due to their shit season! But hey nothiing like a bit of a challenge! Thanks looking forward to playing in the new league

    I seeyou obviously got him then! Looks like he'll be an amazing player, 10 skill and those special attributes as well. Looks a cert for top scorer in the league! That strike force will terrorise all defences in your league! How you would come to have so much money amazes me though, i can't even get 5 mil together to get a decent defender!

    An excellent result today in the Edwin congo cup beating Thants 4-0. Still don't understand this game and the way form works as again for the second week in a row after excellent results the majority of players are dropping in form! :telloff:

    I accepted and tyhen about 8.20 was online and noticed we had a game. I'll set up another proper game and let you set tactics next week, if that's ok with you?
