Are any of you in the legal profession? I have a short and a long question, the long one would have to be done in private, but it would only require a "yes" or "no" answer.
Short question:
Is it possible to subpoena information?
Essentially, a good while ago I was scammed by someone on eBay. I know who he is, where he lives, and what he does for a living. But of course, I cannot prove it was him, unless I can trace the money. I can do this, if I can subpoena the bank account number from PayPal (the bank account the payment was paid out to), then subsequently the bank account information from the bank (as they are legally obliged to keep, I believe). With this proof, I'd take the guy to the county court and claim my money back, plus interest.
How would I go forward to actually serve these subpoenas, though?
