  1. If they sell to Arsenal it'll show you how little the club care about getting back to the top.
  2. He can't leave without the club wanting him to. If they reject all bids he has to stay.
  3. I think the club want to sell him at a certain price but want it to look like they had no choice. They have a choice if he doesn't have a release clause. If they sell it's because they want to. He can't go anywhere without a bid being accepted.
  4. Arsenal have been in CL last 10 years or something. Liverpool havent been in it for ages and arent really showing much ambition to get there.
  5. Kenny has said in the past that he scouted Suarez when Rafa was in charge.
  6. Absolutely mental that such a shit player got so many caps for Holland. How many did he get? 100 caps? Under various managers. When any of our wide players get as many goals and assists as he does then we'll have a wide man better than him.
  7. I hope one of our wide players get 10 goals and 10 assists like Kuyt did for us in his peak.
  8. I already told you there's no point talking to you.
  9. There's no point talking to you. Henry said he wanted to pay 15m less than they got for Torres. He did.
  10. I said they set the price. John Henry said so.
  11. I'd probably loan him out if we bought a good first team player. I'd loan out Alberto, too.
  12. It's not unless you are buying really good players for the first team, too. While we're waiting on the youngplayers to fulfil their potential, the players that have fulfilled their potential will want to leave as we aren't getting close to winning things. We'd be in a constant cycle of rebuilding.
  13. John W Henry: Andy Carroll purchase was a 'hell of a deal' - ESPN FC John W Henry has explained Liverpool's decision to spend a British record transfer fee on Andy Carroll, revealing he strictly stipulated that the Reds pay £15 million less than they received for Fernando Torres. Andy Carroll Liverpool GettyImages Andy Carroll: Was always going to cost £15m less than Fernando Torres • Henry praises Dalglish and Anfield • Carroll: I'll justify price tag • Torres couldn't wait for Reds revival • Chelsea v Liverpool: Preview • Rafa: Torres could have cost £70m • Luis Suarez interview Liverpool have come in for criticism after lavishing £35million on Newcastle to bring the unproven Carroll to Anfield but Henry said the size of the fee was not a concern as it was always factored in to negotiations with Chelsea. "The fee for Torres was dependent on what Newcastle asked for Carroll,'' Henry told the Guardian, explaining they simply wanted a difference of £15million. "The negotiation for us was simply the difference in prices paid by Chelsea and to Newcastle. Those prices could have been £35million [from Chelsea for Torres] and £20million [to Newcastle for Carroll], 40 and 25 or 50 and 35. It was ultimately up to Newcastle how much this was all going to cost. They [Newcastle] made a hell of a deal. We felt the same way.''
  14. If they don't trust Rodgers after he signed Allen, Borini and Assaidi then they should sack him for someone they do trust to spend money. Or is it only Comolli and Kenny who bought bad players? FSG set the Carroll price, you know that don't you? They're quoted as saying as long as Carroll cost 15m less than Torres was sold for then do the deal.
  15. Absolute bollocks. Henderson has shown plenty. His inclusion was a big reason why we played better after January. Carroll, even though he was shit scored two brilliant goals against City, scored the winner in an FA Cup semi final, scored against Everton in the league. He wasn't good enough but Alberto hasn't even played a proper match yet. They should be spending money. No one is saying spend it on shit like we dd last summer. And Rodgers has said all the signings so far are to make the squad deeper, now they need players to make the starting 11 better.
  16. You left out Borini, Assaidi and Allen. Bellamy, Enrique and Henderson had a far bigger impact than them. 3 Kenny signings. Suarez, too. Aspas and Luis Alberto haven't done anything yet.
  17. We should keep Suarez and spend at least 35m net. The new tv money was 35m. The current squad won't get top 4. If FSG don't spend they are complete bluffers.
  18. Agger and Skrtel worked very well as a partnership under Kenny. Man City wanted both them cos they had class seasons.
  19. Really hope he goes there and improves a lot.
  20. Apparently Valencia's president has said Cissokho's joining Liverpool on loan with option to buy.
  21. Johnson needed a rest towards the end of last season. I think he had a very good season but looked knackered by the end of it. Flanagan really needs a loan. Wasted season for him last year.
  22. If we were challenging for the league and could attract players of similar talent as Suarez he might have his price. In our position he shouldn't be for sale as we'll not get players good enough to replace him.
