  1. He could probably build a rapport with post-millenial players too if he moved with the times tactically. If his football was still relevant and successful, I'm sure a lot of the players he could still get to run through walls for him. It's just nobody is going the extra mile for yesterday's man. I think it's been clear over the years players will do almost anything on a pitch provided they think it is winning football.
  2. The big thing for me, aside from the fact he looks like he's holding back on the shooting, we've also allowed him to not have to press, but that pretty much means as a team we don't press. If he's not over his injury (which I don't believe he is), I think he might have been much more useful in the last 20 or 30 mins of games, where he might not be able to be explosive or indeed smash a shot properly, he can play those incredible through balls he's got better at over the last few years and expose the opposition as they mentally tire and maybe don't cover runs as well. My gut feeling is he and klopp have decided to give it a go and unfortunately it hasn't quite work out. Do you think Mo is playing well? Mate, he's been shite since he came back. It's not to say others haven't been shite too, but he's our world class star, his lack of form hurts us more than any other player. I think there's absolutely no doubt he playing with an injury. And we (and he) might be better if he was used more sparingly.
  3. FIFA seems more corrupt now than before when we had blatter.
  4. Doesn't matter who his biggest influence is for me. He has to have his own talent. Rodgers used to spout the same shite.
  5. And we've already got 3 in the squad and one as assistant manager. No wonder we've finished the season shite.
  6. I'm not saying it won't happen. I'm saying it shouldn't be allowed to happen. It's the point of setting a culture. In fact I have zero faith that Edwards has any idea how important that is.
  7. It all depends what's on the table and what the player wants. If someone is offering 5m for Mo, well you let him see his contract out. If that's some stupid Saudi offer, it becomes a completely different conversation. But Trent mightn't want to stay. So flog him if that's the case. Vvd might think Slot is a bellend, so he can't stay as captain. It's just not as easy for me in picking someone to go.
  8. But we don't need to throw away that culture. We need to embrace it and ensure it is not the exception, it's what is expected from LFC. The unity klopp brought across the entire club was probably the greatest thing he brought. It started day 1 when he arrived. He's not out the door yet and we're seeing signs of that bullshit. If it's Edwards, he needs his arse kicked. If it's someone in his empire, he needs to put his house in order. We shouldn't embrace mediocrity on the pitch and we shouldn't embrace it off the pitch.
  9. It is an odd accusation. But it's out there regardless. This type of internal sniping in public had been pretty much binned for the time klopp was here. But it was all too apparent before and many of the same individuals from those days are still around or have just returned. It needs to be nipped in the bud right now. It's the wrong culture and it's not just about who's responsible for each signing. That type of thing infects everywhere through to the players, managers, staff - fuck this blame culture right off. It's negative shit.
  10. Is a referee not supposed to be able to communicate, it's part of his job to talk to players? The referees who are at the absolute elite level of our sport, are paid as if they are specialists in what they do. The top refs are on a basic salary of 120k per year. They also get paid 1.5k for each game they ref, 4th official or VAR. Most refs do a game and a VAR per weekend. So if we say 3k for 30 match days, so in the region of another 90k. So more than 200k per year. That's before they do gigs for FIFA or UEFA. It's before they go and do their 2nd job for their Abu Dhabi paymasters. If any person, in any profession, earning around a quarter of a million per year can't articulate a decision they have made, they're in the wrong job and should immediately be fired. It's an astonishing excuse, especially as you see cocks like Walton queueing up to articulate for TV companies every week when they retire. This is fucking great. Let's hope this starts getting broader support. We will obviously never lead such a charge in this country, but it gives us hope this football destroying system can be binned.
  11. To be fair, he fits the profile of a modern Liverpool player perfectly.
  12. It's a leak from inside the club. It doesn't matter who it's coming from. It's fucking shithouse tricks. And Edwards runs football for FSG. He wants the big boy pants, so he has to take the responsibility that goes with it - it's his house, keep it in order.
  13. He did that once Salah was a success.. completely fucking different. In fact the exact opposite. Chuck someone.under the bus v give credit where it's due.
  14. We're past the point of "just fucking win"..so they need to get out there, try and enjoy their football and give klopp the send off he deserves by not finishing in a sour manner of the last couple of weeks. I want fuck absolutely massive wins from here.
  15. Mate, I'm 54 and watched us win it all multiple times over. And it was one of my best days ever. And we've had a good few of them under klopp - not just winning, but the way we've won. This ride under klopp has been amazing. It's done now and sadly hasn't quite ended in style. And it's probably because he announced it early in an attempt to be fair to the club and his staff, but it's taken away the intensity from everybody - and maybe forced one or two back onto the pitch a bit early to try and play a part in their attempt of a "last dance", which has completely back fired. But we won't remember the last few weeks, we'll remember the last 9 years or whatever it is. And as you say, there'll be plenty of time for reminiscing about the good old days when he's gone, as it's likely to be shit from here.
