  1. Bar 2013-14, Spurs have finished above us every year since 2009. They have been infinitely more competent than we have in this decade.
  2. Ridiculous ending in the Steelers vs. Bengals game. Never seen anything like it. Disgusting display by both teams but especially Cincinnati, my lord. Was so happy they lost after that disgraceful head-hunt on Brown.
  3. 2-0 Real Madrid vs. Deportivo Benzema and Bale on the scoresheet. Luis Alberto is playing for Deportivo and has looked their best attacking player. He has obvious quality.
  4. Luis Enrique's Barca will soon be viewed as the greatest club side of all time. They are unbelievable. Some of the goals they score are on another level.
  5. It's pretty clear why Rodgers bought him. His job was on the line and he needed someone who could score goals. That's exactly what Benteke does, he is a "Premier League proven" 1 in 2 goal scorer. There is and was no stylistic reason for it. It was entirely born out of the desperation. Just as much fault should be accorded to the people who wouldn't sack Rodgers or for giving him money to spend at the end of last season.
  6. ‏@ViktorFagerLFC Götze: "I have not heard anything. You should ask Klopp if he wants me at Liverpool. If he wants me, he should approach me." #LFC Unless Ancelotti is a big fan of him, I have a feeling this one might actually happen in the summer.
  7. Viktor Fagerström ‏@ViktorFagerLFC 16m16 minutes ago Kicker: Klopp wants Sidney Sam - #LFC - http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/b...l#omsmtwkicker … Kicker is very reliable so this is probably true. Sam is a bit shit but he's quick and he's a winger which we desperately need imo. He wouldn't be too bad as a short term option. He's fallen out of favour at Schalke so he wouldn't cost much either
  8. His general play is absolutely dreadful. You basically need to avoid him like the plague in the build-up because he'll lose the ball in an instant. I remember seeing a stat that the amount of times he get's dispossessed is ridiculously high and his pass accuracy is ridiculously low. And this isn't just because he used to play for a dreadful Villa side. When you watch him play for Belgium, the likes of Hazard, De Bruyne, Mertens, etc. have no idea what to do with him besides crossing it and it's the same here. Nevermind Coutinho or Firmino, you could see today that even most of the youth players avoided passing it to him in tight areas. Not to mention that he looks physically shot. I think his achilles must still be bothering him as there is no other possible explanation why he's lost the ability to run fast or even jump to win headers. He's always been poor technically but at least when he first came to England he used to be able to run and to dominate defenders physically. He can't even do that anymore. Even disregarding the fact that imo he's lost some athleticism, I do feel bad for the guy because everyone knew what we were getting when we were buying him; a striker with a good scoring record but pretty limited skill wise and coming off a debilitating injury. He's not meant to be Zlatan with the ball at his feet and if Rodgers and the club thought he would be than that's their fault, not Benteke's. Basically, the only way we'll be able to be effective with him is to constantly pump balls into the box and hope he finishes one of them off. He'll offer absolutely nothing else besides that.
  9. Pato's missed only 1 game in the last 3+ years due to injury. Since he's left Milan he hasn't been injured at all basically
  10. Pato would give us exactly what we need upfront. He has been playing as a winger in Brazil and we've needed a wide player who can score for the longest time. Could obviously play upfront as well, and he's pretty much over his injury issues so the risk isn't very high in that respect. It's still a boom or bust signing seeing as he's deteriorated a bit from his younger days and he hasn't been playing in a challenging league, but he would be worth the 15 million euros imo
  11. Ojo is our best youngster by miles imo, has the physical tools to make it and looks alright technically as well. Its obvious from this game that the only way we'll ever look threatening with Benteke on the pitch is to do a Moyes and try to cross it to him every single time because even against a league 2 side his technique isn't good enough for us to play it to him on the floor.
  12. Murphy is absolutely seething that Lallana hasn't come on.
  13. Exeter want this so much more. Can't really complain. Don't really care either frankly
  14. Can't figure out if Benteke is being pocketed by a pair of League 2 centre halves or if the rest of the team are avoiding passing him the ball.
  15. Just nutted in excitement thinking about seeing Benteke with the armband.
  16. Fully expecting him to look like a cross between Paul McGrath and Claudio Gentile.
  17. Ce dont tu parles ce nomme une cedille, mon ami.
  18. Townsend is shite, but the business they have done shows you don't need "Premier League proven" players to do well in this league
  19. Bayern's price-tag for Götze is thought to be in the region of £37m. Klopp will retain a firm interest in developments. (Paul Joyce) #LFC #LFC will back Klopp in the transfer market this summer but no approach has been made to Bayern in this transfer window. (Paul Joyce) Paul Joyce reporting it means it could be true. If Coutinho is to leave this summer and Klopp decides to get rid of either Lallana or Firmino than i'm all for it, but if we keep all our #10's and we buy Gotze it'll show we've learned nothing from past transfer failures.
  20. What I meant was it's annoying how average teams like Swansea or Stoke or Newcastle can spend relatively big without having won anything or even having to sell players. All they have to do is survive in the league and they get big funds.
  21. Don't know how other's view this but I personally don't like how all these smaller Premier League clubs now have the financial ability to consistently go for £15m players. It's annoying how just entering or surviving in the league provides clubs with the ability to spend big thanks to the tv deal.
  22. Yaya has been an absolute disgrace. When he's not arsed, which is almost always now he's one of the worst midfielders in the league. Makes City so easy to play against at times. Especially with a donkey like Delph in the middle as well.
  23. Liverpool injury crisis down to Klopp’s pressing game, says Allardyce http://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/jan/06/liverpool-injuries-jurgen-klopp-pressing-game-sam-allardyce Looks like Klopp has already been sussed out as a fraud and a menace to hamstrings everywhere. So glad we have thinkers like humongous Sam to investigate and theorize on these matters.
  24. I don't know why calling Stoke a small club has a Liverpool fan seething. So again, I'll ask you: are you a Stoke fan?
  25. Plenty of small clubs play good football, but Stoke still don't. Even with Bojan and Shaqiri they are still a cunt of a team with a bunch of talentless cloggers. They created squat against a makeshift backline and only looked threatening when they started launching it. You sound like a Stoke fan.
