  1. Should we write a small paragraph or something detailing our reasoning for our picks, tactics, why we think our squad is the best, etc... Feel like that would help for voting.
  2. Where has this idea that Coutinho is making the same per week at Barca than when he was here come from? No way that's true. I'm sure it would be great for the dressing room if he came back here as our highest paid player after he faked an injury and made up conflicts with Klopp so he could escape.
  3. I wanted three pacy forwards and Owen winning the Ballon D'Or I think helps more in the "judging a player at their peak" part.

  5. I would've picked Stam and Kanté. Had to settle for Davids and Varane. Although now that I think about it I should've picked Varane 11th. Oh well.
  6. @Sugar Ape you're up. Wanted Stam but I knew @Alex_K would take him. Also, I made my 10th pick as everyone has a Frenchman.

  9. It's still hard to believe that Sissoko situation actually happened. When you think about it, when has a player ever pointed to someone else like that in his own box with his arm so fully out? I feel like I've never seen that before. Just a total brain freeze moment.

  11. Little insight from your Ligue 1 guy: Saliba at Saint-Etienne is a world class CB in the making. Would get him if Lovren goes. Only 18 but he is a dominant figure.

  15. He had a crap season besides a few of the big matches and a few Ligue 1 games here and there.
  16. Firmino is great defensively but that's a bonus. A good manager (which we have) can tell any professional footballer with a minimum level of fitness, health and professionalism to track back and run. It's more about finding someone with the technique and the positional/tactical sense.
  17. Rashford would be an excellent alternative to Mané and Salah but there's no way he could do Firmino's role. It's not all about assisting and creating chances. Most of it is being able to drop deep and having the tactical knowledge to create space for the two wide forwards. Those are things Rashford could not do. If there's an alternative to Firmino, it's someone who is very comfortable at playing between the lines but can still get in the box and finish. There aren't many of those out there. Fekir, Joao Felix, Dybala and Griezmann are probably the most well-equipped but I doubt we'll sign any of them.
