  1. What!? Of course he can mould lesser players and the suggestion that unlike 'some managers' that he cannot and does not is, frankly, preposterous.
  2. Id like to see arsenal go far in the EL, the more games, the more chances of injury and fixture congestion.
  3. Now, now, there's no need to be like that.
  4. Didnt see any other CL games so wasnt aware of Bayern's result against PSG. It's the sign of bad times when an esteemed manager as Ancelotti is binned off for a few below standard results.
  5. No, all professionals will have different opinions. But what Im saying is and people are either deliberately ingoring or misrepresenting what Ive said is this; Everyone has an opinion and everyone is entitled to give it. But, you'll never convince me a fan, a watcher or even an amateur footie coach \ manager, knows better than someone who's been both a professional player and manager at the highest level. Some people are seriously saying that they, as a fan, know better than Klopp. They also say such and such a player would play better if Klopp played him different. Yeah, and I can say NASA could land a mission on Mars if they just did this and that. If you've been in the professional game, then clearly, your comments, if you were to make such on Klopp's methods would stand up to scrutiny and experience. But if we're just saying, yeah, I could get such a player being better for us by doing this, as a fan, Im sorry but I dont put much credence on the comments. I guess in a perverse sort of way, that could happen if both player and club remain entrenched in their stance Personally, I dont agree with release clauses although again, to be fair, the club has made use of them in the past.
  6. Did anyone say 88 pages were about the same goal? Must have missed that one!
  7. Hmmm, 88 pages on Karius. Obviously not then.
  8. You can use the ignore function, dickwad.
  9. People are saying our keepers are always making 'mistakes' but dont apply the same criticisms or uber analysis of other keepers. Every goal mignolet, karius and even ward if he was a regular is subject to endless debate.
  10. Im only surprised they havent talked about re introducing a televised game on Chirstmas Day.
  11. The problem is, everyone is looking for that perfect keeper, the one who doesnt make mistakes. But, all keepers do. They have to contend with technically better players today not to mention a ball that now corkscrews through the air and can change direction more than once. As Ive shown, Lloris, Courtois both established international keepers, make mistakes. Lower ranking keepers like butland, forster etc, make mistakes. They'd all get slaughtered at LFC for conceeding a goal irrespective whether it was a mistake or not. Cant speak about de gea because I dont watch their games except twice a season when we play them. Clubs and fans generally dont want to spend more than £10m on a keeper or at least most didnt until the fees went crackers this summer. £30m for pickford? Might turn out to be a good investment, might not, who knows?
  12. People go on about shit defending all the time and blur the real lines between really shit defending and just conceeding goals, you know, as what happens when teams play each other. Yes, it's not brilliant by any stretch. But it goes back to what I said, overcritical over analysis on every fucking goal we conceed. Examples, LFC always conceed at set pieces, no we dont. We may conceed more than others at set pieces but even then, other teams conceeding arent over analysised by the sky \ BT mob. LFC have 129 shots but only scored 6 goals. Well, I notice people dont use the old 'shots on target' description now with this latest stat about us, instead it's simply 'shots.' When did that come in? How many other teams are now analysed for purely 'shots' and goals rather than 'shots on target'? In those last 7 seasons, we've generally played far more entertaining, expansive football and scored more goals.
  13. Mo's hitting the ground running and rattled in 6 goals.
  14. van Dijk knows dan is hardly ever fit.
  15. Totally agree. I dont think the club is going to agree with his alleged demand for a release clause.
  16. You say that like you're the only one with a few others who watch all our games. Got news for you, you arent.
  17. Doesnt matter whether we have the best goalkeeping coach because every goal we conceed is over analysed and put down as a goalkeeping error, some other defensive error or because we dont have a good enough defensive midfielder in the team. And if we did, he was in the wrong position etc. No other team is as over analysed as us for goals conceeded. It is fucking boring.
  18. How many times? You have a right to express an opinion. Your opinion doesnt hold up to objectivity when its compared to someone who has been 30+ years in the professional game as player and a manager (or indeed a surgeon who's been through god knows how many years medical schooling, not to mention operating on people). If you and others cant grasp that concept, that's your problem, not mine.
  19. When objectivity is discarded, the debate loses its point. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, that's not is dispute, the objectivity is. But many people want to mix the two up and say what you have in an attempt to belittle the subject. Its like a surgeon saying "Im sorry Mr So and So, we need to operate to fix this medical problem." The patient says "I dont agree, a course of antibiotics will clear it up." The patient is entitled to his opinion but he hasnt been through medical school, hasnt come across the condition numerous times and doesnt know the right way to fix it. But whatever. Objectivity seems to be out the window as far as anything LFC is concerned this season.
  20. Do you seriously think we didnt regularly watch ward when he was at Huddersfield? Do you seriously not think Klopp and his coaching staff watch the keepers in training?
  21. Haha, Im thick? You havent a fucking clue yet you reckon you've a better idea than the manager, any manager? Give your head a wobble.
  22. I think that's a shit response to be honest. You've got a person who's played professional football, becomes a manager and wins national leagues and cups at the highest level. But someone who's not a professional can make a definitive statement that that manager isnt playing a player right isnt an opinion. It's saying a professional judgement is wrong based on nothing more than their prejudices and thought.
  23. If someone on here 'thinks' Klopp isnt playing Can in 'the right way,' I have to ask, why isnt this person a coach or manager at a PL club?
