  1. Read that Real Madrid is trying to sell Khedira for 20 Million. No brainer, we should go in on this using Suarez money
  2. We should be going for Fabregas 100%. If we can get him for $30-$35 Million, I'd drop the Lallana negotiations and go full speed to get Cesc. The reason he regressed when he went to Barca is because he plays sporadically and out of position. We know he can play brilliantly in the premier league and he has a ton of Champions League experience. He'd be a perfect fit and I think would make us a near lock to sustain top finishes at the least for the next few years.
  3. I kind of agree with this on an emotional level. I love this team and don't really want to see someone come in and take say Sterling or Coutinho's spot. I think this team is already capable of playing the big boys in Europe and getting results. That said, we need depth for next season, and only players that are good enough to start in Champions League will be useful, so it's a double edged sword. A player like Shaw or Marcelo would be immense for LB and then another CM that can compete with what we have
  4. Suarez will finish the league top scorer and top assists---when he's not scoring, he's creating! Not at all concerned with his "drought", still the best player in the league and i'd place a bet before every game that he'll score. Drought ends against Southhampton.
  5. Would take 4th in a second especially if Suarez stays with Champs League, but can see the worst case scenario pan out. United, knowing they can't win the PL and probably won't finish top 4 throw everything they have in the Champions League and actually win. I'd be crushed
  6. We need a box to box midfielder who is comfortable on the ball and can play good positional defense. I'll probably get slack for saying this, but if we want a relatively cheap option but who's also young and talented, we should go for Michael Bradley. Roma has 4 good CM's, so he's probably available.
  7. It's only been 3 games but winning definitely puts things in perspective. All summer the onus has been to get a marquee signing but Tottenham have shown that just signing big names and paying loads of money can't guarantee wins. The guys they brought in are really talented but it screams desperation since they were losing Bale. I think the first few games that it will take for them to gel are going to cost them points and it's entirely possible Liverpool will finish ahead of them because of it. Like it or not, it's pretty clear to me that Rogers and FSG have a plan in place and won't just sign someone to appease us fans. We can finish top 4 but we are also still a work in progress and the start to the seasons just shows the importance of bringing in guys that fit the system. I'm stoked with the signings we brought in, especially the 3 recent ones. We're building something and even if we can't land the big name this window, if we keep playing like we are, we'll get him in January or next summer.
  8. Is there any news on the Yarmolenko bid? I haven't heard anything to suggest Kiev even considered it.
  9. Moses would be a terrific move. Dude is super fast and composed on the ball. Something this team lacks is a player that can come in and provide a different dimension than our typical strategy to breakdown defenses. Moses will provide quality width to this team that Downing couldn't and Sterling or Ibe are too inexperienced to do.
  10. Why haven't we put in a bid for Lamela yet just to screw with the spurs a bit?
  11. Suarez is my favorite player and he's probably the most entertaining player to watch in the league, but if he's going then let's just use that money wisely and we still have a shot at top 4 next year. I really hope those rumors for Luis Muriel are accurate. He looks like a real game changer and still young. We keep buying these young guys with tons of promise and the future still looks bright. Preferably with but even without Suarez
