How good does Luis Alberto look! I thought he was brilliant in the game against Indonesia, he oozes class and has a great touch/vision. He is tall and pretty strong on the ball. I like how he can use his body to shield the ball, i think that will help him adapt to the Premiership. I dont want to get carried away as ive only seen him twice, but he looks like he might turn out to be another brilliant attacking/creative player for us. Aspas looked decent too, i still want to see more games before i make judgment on him but he did show some nice touches and link up play againt indonesia. If they are squad fillers then Rodgers is doing fine in my opinion, previously we have bought some utter shit for similar fee's and you could see from day one that they were poor quality players. Our new signings dont have that feel of "oh shit wtf have we done here"

We buy a new, young, exciting goal keeper who has premiership experience, and has been playing well for the last 2 seasons. People will do that all year round. They have never even heard of a word like propaganda. They don't understand it exists and what it means. Great thread I think we will do much better than people think next year. We will be in the mix, if we get a good start i can see us staying near the top end of the table for most of the season. I hope we add more players to the first team before the summer is over, its a real chance to close the gap with everyone changing managers etc

Long run of games i do agree with. But you don't get that at a top club like ours, we have an expectancy on success. Smaller clubs have less pressure and give players more time. You dont get that here, and rightly so. We are one of the biggest clubs in the world and any player lucky enough to have an opportunity here has to grasp it with both hands. 2 years is long enough to show what you got in training and in the first team when given the chance. Lets not forget how much money these young guys earn....if they really had something about them they would realise this is their one big chance and do everything within themselves to grasp it. Whats he been doing for 2 years?

It is about first team games, thats the test but he has looked pretty shit in most of them when he's had a chance. It goes back to how much time/chances should Rodgers give him? He was a big reason we lost to oldham, that shit striker bullied the fuck out of him. Rodgers then got blasted by fans saying he didn't take the competition seriously by playing the 2nd string. So how much longer can Brendan keep with him? If he calls on him when we need him and he is still playing shit the pressure mounts on Rodgers.

Yea they do need time but i think 2 seasons is enough time to show how good you are. If you havent shown real signs of progression and flashes of real quality in games/training then we should get rid. We have kept players for far too long, even though everyone knows they really arent good enough or dont perform. Shelvey is a good example, lots raved about him. I always thought he was slow and cumbersome. But he was given loads of chances and made some really poor decisions on the pitch. He might go on to become a really good player but he had his chance here and we cant keep playing him for 2-3 years while he sorts out the mistakes in his game.

How much time do new players deserve? We can't keep every player because he might turn out to be good one day.....mainly because these kind of players will under perform in the "now" and get managers the sack
