  1. What drum's that, the Brendan Rodgers is capable of making a mistake one? Guilty as charged.
  2. Calm down, he was just making a light hearted throwaway comment. No need to get the chalkboard out and hit the neg button.
  3. We can't even blame Howard Webb.
  4. Fat Sam: "There is only one way to shatter title dreams - here comes the pain".
  5. And if any club is capable of a final day mess-up it's Man City.
  6. Lambert's tactical masterclass.
  7. Biting us on the arse now though, eh?
  8. Whilst there is some truth in this it's probably hypocritical of us as we'd swap places with them to have all of that money to splurge (well, maybe some of us would). And really it was all in our hands and we only have ourselves to blame, 87 points was well within our grasp if we played smarter. But yeah, they are oil-doped new money cunts.
  9. Think the only thing going for us is they might be a bit heavy legged from tonight.
  10. I feel safe in the knowledge that our title destiny rests with the big man's ability to motivate his troops and tactically outwit his opposite number. Year of The Sam.
  11. Fat Sam, your time has come. Show us why you should be picked ahead of Louis Van Gaal.
  12. Sometimes yes, other times he hasn't been good enough and criticism is fair game.
  13. Life wouldn't be the same without a scapegoat.
  14. At 3-0 it was fine. At 3-1 it was reckless and stupid. At 3-2 i could barely believe my eyes.
  15. Not if they were told to bomb forward and score six goals.
  16. If Rodgers is to take the plaudits when it goes well he must take the criticism when it doesn't. He is not flawless. This is a recurring problem with his teams. There's a time and a place for piling forward in search of goals and last night wasn't it. I think Rodgers was starting to believe his own hype a bit after Norwich and it transmitted to the players, culminating in last night's reckless attacking approach which was ill suited to the situation.
  17. The real villain is Rodgers, if we must have one, who should have made sure we secured three points instead of chasing the goal difference. It was all in his hands and his attempts to shift the blame onto the players reeks of a guilty mind. It can't be schoolboy defending every week and if it is then you're the headmaster, Brendan.

    "Rediscover Sprite". No ta.
  19. Agreed. Sakho's tendancy to pass the ball to tightly marked players is annoying.
  20. Individual errors and sloppy defending have characterised our season as much as our attractive play has, in my view. The errors are certainly not rare. It's something Rodgers has been unable to get to grips with throughout his career.
  21. Aye, you're right. We should attack for ninety minutes come what may. Frankly, i think that as a club we're above the art of defending.
  22. I know. And we've blown it because of the same reason. Fanny old game, eh?
