Just putting this out there, but y'know if/when Carroll is sold/loaned/pawned he's going to smash a hattrick against us. Absolute MOTM performance standard back door smashing.

I'm not on their case, just expressing concern. Our captain was absent against WBA. The thing is, as BR keeps stressing, is that to change the team mentality, and get them playing the way he wants will take time. Unfortunatley, the fixture list has been really unkind, and we could find ourselves on very few points after 5 games. The second worry for me is that this club seems to have attracted a lot of bellend supporters that will inevitably start calling for peoples heads to roll if we're not pushing on for fourth by November.

The worry for me, is until the team start playing the way BR wants them to play, I think we'll struggle. Its alright saying that he wants the team to defend with the ball, but with players like adam, spearing et al that aren't intelligent enough to use the ball properly. I think Hearts bullied us about. Teams like Stoke & Wigan are going to bully us. City, Chelsea, Arsenal & co will out play us, and teams like Everton will play with more heart than us. This isn't meant as being horribly negative, I just think our team lacks identity at the moment.

Sturridge is not going to be our 20 goals a season striker. Is he just hoping our midfielders are going to join in with goals this season?

Its been a really quiet transfer window really. Loads of players that were tipped to move on haven't, and some not even mentioned in gossip. What about Muniain or Gotze? Falcao, Cavani, M'villa, Marvin Martin, Jesus Navas. With the exception of Chelsea and maybe PSG, no one has really done anything. Barce have signed Song & Alba. Have Madrid signed anyone? Soon to be Modric? What a let down of a window.

Evening. Slightly late this, but what the hell. In his first interview with LFC Oussama Assaidi revealed that he is Muslim, and therefore observing Ramadan. It made me wonder how Muslim footballers dealt with this. Leaving aside for a second the religious side of it, I was wondering how an athlete could prepare for a game without eating or drinking. I work with a few Muslims and during Ramadan every year I see how it takes a physical effect on their ability to perform their duties. As I work in a mundane office job, its not too much of a big deal. But as an athlete, it must be a significant burden. I'm not suggesting for one minute that Muslims should not take part in matches during Ramadan, but I was surprised to learn that Nicholas Anelka and Marouane Chamakh don't observe the strict rules the day before a match. Are there any Muslims on here that can shed some light on how to prepare for this? Are there any other religious holidays that impact sport?

Is there not an arguement to be made that BR may be able to get more from Henderson & Downing? I certainly think BR's tactics suit Henderson much more than Kenny's did. That said, unless he plans to surgically graft some mammoth balls to Downing, I'm not sure how much he can improve him.

I came downstairs the other day to find a severed mouse head, tail & what I can only assume was a mouse lung all lined up on my dining room floor. Dogs can't do that. Plus the price you pay for dogs to look funny is scooping their shite up with your hand. And that why I'm out.
