1. World Cup final: Johan Cruyff sowed seeds for revolution in Spain's fortunes - Telegraph Don’t know if this has been posted before, but this article that Martinez wrote has convinced me slightly. This is exactly what Barnes was going on about the other day, this is what we need!
2. Ian Holloway Maybe not somebody that will implement the (new) structure and strategy that FSG has planned, but mostly because I just like the guy.
3. Visiting the official site, then this came up first. Like usual there's always some kind of commercial, but what's this all about? I laughed. I'm a perv. Welcome To Liverpool FC - Liverpool FC

5. I posted this on another site about the whole handshake thing...
6. I thought it might be a good thread for people to showcase their art, music or whatever. Then everybody here can tear it apart or pleasantly praise it. I for one like to discover new music that's unheard of and I'm often amazed by the stuff people randomly do. I'll start by whoring myself out:
7. I'm more for a formation change than playing another player in his role. As I don't really feel we have anybody that can fill his boots. I'm leaning towards three centre backs. We've done well when we've played this formation, it works 'cos we got two amazing wing backs in Johnson and Enrique. It would also give Agger some extra freedom to go forward, also Skrtl has shown signs that he's good on the ball going forward as well. The question would be, who should play with them? Carra is an obvious choice or is this a good opportunity to breed Coates into the team and PL football?
8. I would like to hear his song sung in the tune of The Imperial March. You know, Darth Vader's theme from Star Wars. That would be epic! Everybody knows and recognizes the main melody of it (0:09-0:25 on the video). You don't have to be geeky or a Star Wars fan to have had an impression of that song. Also since it's a George Lucas film and production, it's nearly meant to be. :P Anyway here's my suggestion. In tune with the main melody (0:09-0:25). I don't know if the end bit works so well...would be shouted rather than sung. It would be more like a build up to shout Lucas several times! He's from Brazil, Gets the ball, Tackles hard, He won't give up and he rules the whole park Lucas, Lucas, Lucas, Lucas, Lucas......!!
9. I recorded this the day before the Chelsea game last season. So it's kinda old news and a late post now. But some of you might enjoy it or at least appreciate it a little.
10. This is actually my clip...It's of a cute little guest I had living with me for awhile.
11. I agree and I don’t get why people are fussing over so much so early on. Though this is not the thread to debate about it, we need to keep in mind that this is the first full season under FSG and the return of Kenny. Just to make a comparison with City, Abu Dhabi took over summer 2008, they ended 10th that season. 5th the season after. My point is that I feel there’s been improvement and that we’ve played some good and attractive football. Something that I can’t recall from the first half of last season and the season before that. So why not give it time and let the improvement grow?
12. I kinda get what you mean... "Like" maybe a little too strong of a word to use. But from what I've seen of them so far this season, the football they've been playing can certainly be appreciated. The way they go about things on the pitch for a squad of overpaid glory hunters they do put down a good team performance, which I really wasn't expecting before the season started. The fact that Fowler and Bellamy played there makes them a little more tolerable. Also Balotelli is a great character...love him or hate him. Oh, and another thing that goes through my mind when I’ve watched them: “Aguero is what you get for £35 million!” Just saying...somebody needs to get their shit together!
13. Also non-thread wise. Still a great player but think it's time to stick with Skrtl & Agger. A true legend! The impression I've got of him is that he's the type of player that will never want to stop playing, so the bench could be a little tough on him. But I certainly hope that he's still here a couple of years from now, playing just enough matches for that title medal/trophy. 'cos there's nobody that deserves it more than him (and Gerrard of course). Also from what I've read about him in articles and interviews is that he's a total football geek! He follows everything everywhere. Knows all kinds of trivial facts within the game. So if you take this extreme interest in football, his leadership and instructional abilities. Add his playing brain and experience, that would probably make one helluva manager! Hope that he does get some kind of player/coaching role in the club.
14. Could somebody make a poll about this? I think playing him as a right winger would do no harm. It should be tried at least once! I for one would like to see it happen. Maybe not in a big game at first, but one of those games where we're supposed/expected to win. Seems like the opinion is 50/50 on this matter. But one thing that people agree about is that he's a good footballer. So do people really feel that we'd be a weaker side if Johnson played right mid/winger with Kelly behind him? Both of them have pace and I think Johnson and Kelly overlapping each other on the right would be a great combo. Still...we need to see it first or else we'll never know.
