1. That Kildare game started so well, pity it descended into a beatdown.
2. How can the Sky crowd live with themselves. Warbs plays an ok 80 and suddenly it's a unanimous "that silences any doubts about his selection"
3. Croft and POC making a show of warburton at the breakdown, paulie has 3/4 turnovers already. Zebo looking good if not a little confused about what's going on! Gotta see Kearny at some point
4. Peas, mushy or garden, and onion gravy are critical components, spinach also is a good shout for me as I love the stuff. Strongly suggest have a variance in the type of banger. Discovered this one day when I noticed I had a few standard Denny lads in the fridge while I was cooking up some delicious pork and leek ones from the butchers. It took it to the next level. It was a total sausage fest... *gets coat*
5. For me it's just another example of his "I'm a mad thing on the wind up" bullshit that he thinks is giving him an edge. Nearly every kick chase in the 6n was followed up with a late half hit and some shouting in the face like he was "letting them know he's there" as if any player gives a shit that the great Owen Farrell is bearing down on them. Apologies for the source but here's and example: England's Owen Farrell must play on the edge, not over it: Sir Clive Woodward on England 23-13 France | Mail Online I know it might not seem like much to you guys but I play against guys like this all the time and its all talk and mouth and niggles in open field looking for a reaction so the ref sees. 9/10 these lads are usually pretty shit players so the act the bollox to make up for it. Farrell has talent and has no need to conduct himself the way he does. And these guys always get dealt with the same way no matter how good or bad they are. Say nothing, do nothing but when they've lost their way and find themselves in a ruck where they know they should't be they get smashed, shoed off the ball and given a dose that'll change their outlook. That said that's just how I feel on it.
6. Another 5 star thread created by Simon. Excellent work all round gentlemen.
7. Alex cuthbert has the look of a guy who received many blows to the head as a child, this shows in his defensive positioning. What a brainless mongo. Yesterday he typified what other countries , rightly or wrongly, mean when they ridicule Wales' back line selection policy. Good thing for them North came on and flew the flag for the big'uns! Delighted that Tenacious Z is jetting in to show the lads playing today how to finish. Also Rob K is back training in the next day or two apparently Gutted for Healy but Vunipola's improvement under Rowntree since the end of the season is commendable. I thought Castro had the better of him in the opener only for Paul James' implosion to effectivley end any scrum analysis but he's really kicked on. That said Ryan Grant will no doubt want to show why he should have been picked initially. I'd also like to submit this to the Farrell cunt files:
8. Jesus just saw that Force squad, all fears thoroughly reduced! Pity though, one thing that ruins a tour is midweek rapings that don't test the squad. Can't see any reason for Tipuric at 8. He's a damn good 7 no doubt but its not the same gig at all. The only player who could jump in at 8 at international level is SOB who plays there often for leinster.
9. Lions 2013: Jonny Sexton set to start against Western Force as Jonny Wilkinson hints at availability - Telegraph I have to say this selection worries me a tiny bit, I mean it's a very high quality team but all very green in terms of calls moves and systems. And the opposition are not to be trifled with. There is a chance this could be a loss, I can't see it being even close to the level of the last game. That said this group players are just as likely to produce a serious display so who really knows! Not this rambling gobshite that's for sure. In summation:
10. I don't really think it is... ok maybe a little! But I don't think that it's that far from the truth. I like the guy, he plays good rugby. It's the only reason he hasn't nailed the 10 shirt for England. If he was secure in the national side his kicking would improve I think but when the chips are down he rarely grabs the game by the scruff of the neck and says "I'm fucking having this!" which is a great pity. I really enjoyed Phillips today he did what he does perfectly, as did his protege CM. all I was saying is that he better prepare for Johnny10 to wear the pants, something I feel Phillips hasn't had to deal with at national level for a while given their style. As for Lydiate in the XV, let SOB have a crack before we (Gats) decide. But he was very good today thank god! All of the hype about Croft worries me a bit. As a back rower myself I feel all the talk about his pace and lineout prowess is clouding the fact that he is far less effective at his actual job that the other two. It works for him at club level due to the balance of the Leiscter back row but we should be picking the best 6,7,8 outright to put the squeeze on Australia seeing as we are playing this style. God I need to Lear how to post shorter!
11. Farrell is turning into a bit of a hate figure for me (ok that may be a bit harsh!). His scumbag mentality is not appropriately backed up by any sort of physical prowess ( eg. Cudemore, Hines, Quinlan etc.) or outstanding skill. His laughing and clapping today, belongs in another spherical cunts sport. This shit was evident in the 6 nations too when he followed through on every marked kick chase while screaming in players faces. He will get the Duncan McRae treatment in a regional game if he keeps this up. Also lately he looks more and more like he may be turning into a Toby flood esque shrinking violet when the pressure comes on. And I'm not talking about his kicking but his actual play. Phillips was running the show when he was on the field, not Farrell, anyone think for a second either Johnny would take the back seat like that? All in all the fact that he is the only one who we can count on if Sexton goes down is frightening. Why on earth another 10/12 wasn't taken I have no idea seeing as we also only have one out and out 12. Madigan and Hook must be too radical and loose for Gatland's "Wales+" brand of rugby. On the plus side it was a great win! Lydiate looked alot brighter than I expected which is good news for us keeping a proper 6 on the pitch.
12. What a stupid fat fucking moron! Jesus I knew he was a tit but that really took the biscuit. How on earth any right minded individual would appoint that cunt captain boggles the mind he is an entirely reprehensible individual. He should be given a week off of his hopefully 6-8 week ban if he drives Best to the airport. Actually in fairness to him he may very well have inadvertently won us the test series Also Courtney Lawes once again proved he is utter scum with that hit on Flood.
13. Went to the open training session at Carton House today to have a look. It was very enjoyable stuff to watch if not completely sanitised and for the cameras, there was no real goal to the session just loads of small drills but then again a huge number aren't even there yet. Just a few things I noticed from it: Leigh Halfpenny sat it out with a pretty significant black strapping on his left leg. Hogg practiced a lot of kicking, he's not great but he was the most exciting player in the tip warm up game. That said they weren't exactly setting the world on fire at tip!(there was also a rumour going around he was getting some time at 10 against the Ba Bas, but sounds a bit dubious) Kick chase was practised a good bit with Murray delivering some pretty tasty box kicks. Regardless of provincial bias, I swear if you had no idea who was the captain and watched that session you would go away assuming it was PO'C. He was very vocal, players seemed to always be around him and I spotted him twice alone having a word with Gatland (who is sound btw) Warburton was very quiet all session but looks a very good player up close. After reading what SW and PO'C were saying the other day about the group being "quiet" it's fair to say that they seem a little bit dry, very sound, but dry. I have no doubt in my mind that once the others arrive that will change though as the Leinster boys, chiefly Healy and Heaslip are notorious for acting the maggot and I can't see the English lads being boring after the WC!!
14. Whoever edited his wiki made me lol. Good job!
15. I'm glad I haven spotted it! Making an effort nowadays to watch less trailers * he writes on this thread retardedly* as they are all getting longer and reveal far too much shit. I saw an ad in the cinema for that new Spider-Man remake ages ago and I swear it was 5 mins long. The saddest part is that the trailers before the movie are my part of going to the movies.
16. Lets just hope that when he gets passed the ball he doesn't get white line fever... Ill get my coat....
17. I may be a bit biased here but I cant actually envisage, be it me or Gatland picking, a single English player starting the tests as of right now. obviously after training camp they may show more quality but none really stand out i would even go with Roberts starting and Tuilagi as an impact sub along with Croft. Outside chance for Youngs but bar that sorry boys! 1/2p Bowe North/Maitland BOD Roberts Sexton Phillips Heaslip/Faletau Warburton SOB AWJ POC Jones Hibbard Healy
18. Fuck you warren. Hartley is utter shit and best has destroyed him every time they go 1on1. No Zebo? All the wingers are big 'ard lads what the fuck. cunt.
19. You predicted this on Saturday? You sir are some kind of sorcerer! I mean at that stage bookies had only begun to stop taking bets on him!
20. The thing is, and this it just IMO, but having a forward captains is more important against NZ and South Africa due to their more physical game especially SA. Against the wallabies we will be facing a far weaker tight 5 but a 9-15 that is incredibly talented and quick. So the defensive line must be led well. BOD was the right choice... Regardless were going to smash em!
21. This. If true this cements him into the team(I know gatland says otherwise but let's get real here, it does) meaning that he either starts: A) at 7, which is bullshit as Tipuric is superior for reasons explained ad nauseum here before. B) at 6, which means we either lose SOB or he plays 8 meaning we have no true 8. Either outcome weakens the team. Look I get that he wants a forward captain and that's fine so BOD it out. But then at least pick one who SHOULD be starting and has preferably captained a team before. Add that to my opinion that he wants a Welshman and Jones should be the man to pick if it has to be welsh.
