  1. Don't know, Konate looked pretty good when he decided to just run through the entire Luton side in the first 10-15. Thought we were gonna steam roller them at that point
  2. It's not that he can't bury a tap in, of course he can. It's about calming down and concentration in those moments. He plays so much of the game at breakneck speed with his pace and movement and instinctive shots (and assists), it's about calming down and concentrating in the moment before executing the easy things. He'll get there
  3. The fucking Trent thing is baffling. I get in some games him being inside makes us harder to counter and helps play through the lines. But in others it's a complete waste of time. Go out on the fucking touchline and stretch the game, let Mo then be able to be on the right side of the box, and force them to have to defend the width of the pitch rather than the penalty area.
  4. Don't give a shit about Luton. I think our new team is the fucking tits and we easily did enough to beat Luton today. Klopp got his tactics and team selection wrong with the lack of width but it shouldn't have mattered. Even with the pitch that narrow and 11 men behind the ball we created more than enough chances. Gravenberch and Szoboszlai are fantastic although Dom wasn't his best today, Gravenberch looked excellent I thought. Dom already is an upgrade on Hendo and I think in time Gravenberch will be better than Gini. We'll be the ones who compete with Man City this season
  5. It's a ridiculous 2 points lost but it's a lesson to learn and we're 3 points off city after 11 games which I'm sure we'd have all taken.
  6. No. Nunez will be more than fine. Alexis in the 6 should be absolutely fine against teams like this, although we all know he should be further forward. Gravenberch was out best player. Elliott is far better off the bench at this stage. He's also not quick enough off the right. You're right that Luton fans are cunts
  7. Yes, Klopps team selection played into their hands but we still should have won comfortably. Can't afford to miss too many chances like those in a game where you aren't going to get too many
  8. Width. Trent wider and either Tsimikas or Diaz on the left
  9. Could do with Diaz to give us a bit of width with no left footed left back, it'll come though. Our midfield is fantastic
  10. Can you stop copying and pasting this meaningless statement that you probably don't understand. It's tedious. It's irrelevant to innocent people being killed/oppressed/abused
  11. You're misunderstanding that this is about religion, and you're imagining this population which is 'intent on wiping out the jews'. The majority of the Palestinians want basic human rights, not the destruction of all Jewish people
  12. This is a powerful point. I saw an Egyptian comedian on piers Morgan make exactly this and it's true. The west (us and UK mainly) has had absolute damage done to it's claim to any moral authority by Israel In 3 weeks that will take years to recover from, if at all. Surely they can't just witness the destruction of all the Palestinians. Based on the fact there is half a trillion of oil on Gaza and area c of the west bank which just so happens to be the part they want the most, my guess is that the 2 state solution they offer would be one that absolutely pillages the Palestinians economically to other people's evil benefit, but gives them the semblance of a state. And that's the best case scenario. It's sickening
  13. Ok but what if the majority of Welsh people weren't, less than 0.02 percent of them were, and they happened to be the ones who harboured those views and had the guns (let's not get into why they haboured those views to cloud the argument) And over half the 2.2 million innocent welsh were children. We would go and wipe them out? What does that make us?
  14. There was an excellent but very long article from the New Yorker that someone posted on here which explained the very complicated Israeli politics which has driven this. Netanyahu is right wing and has been driving the 2 state solution into the ground for nearly 2 decades. But he's now in a coalition government with even harder right wing nutjobs, primarily Ben gvir who have pretty much openly called for the annihilation of all the Arabs. Theyve slightly watered down their message by changing the word 'arab' to 'terrorist' which makes it more palatable. In the months running up to the very politically convenient Hamas attack, Israel was absolutely tearing apart with mass demonstrations on the streets because the government want to reform their supreme court to basically take away this oversight so they can do what the hell they want. The supreme court was the checks and balance that stopped the right wing just running away with things and kept the left and centres more reasonable agendas on the table. It also crucially protected the Palestinian citizens who actually live in Israel and make up 20 percent of the population. Among the things that are now happening are laws which would basically allow anyone to kill a 'terrorist' aka an Arab, or anyone who remotely dissents from the government's point of view legally. They're also looking at implementing laws which would essentially make it impossible for Arabs to be in politics. It's apartheid in Israel and the west bank for Palestinians, and it's imprisonment and now genocide for the Gazans. One of the many sick things about this is that while the actions of Israel and it's Zionist lobby looks, and acts alot like nazi fascist policy, they have the nerve to describe people who are pro Palestine as anti semites and Nazis. It's propoganda on another scale. It's a total myth that Israel is some reasonable democracy, it's clearly a military state. Most of the government are ex idf, pro settlers, anti 2 state and pro Arab annihilation/ expulsion. I think it's unprecedented post world war 2 that we as the west have supported something that so closely resembles Nazism, and to be honest it's so polarising that I would find it hard after this to be in the same room as someone who is 'pro-israel' or pro m Zionism because of the evil of what it represents and the ideology they're supporting. And for the record, while I think it was clearly never right that Palestine was effectively taken from a land where people lived and given to Israel, it's obviously not viable at this stage to ever give it/take it back. There are second and third generation people living there and you couldn't just expel them. The way forward should be/have been the 2 state solution which Israel would never allow, or make it a single secular state (which would also never happen). So given israels policy of just containing the Palestinians has failed, unless the west steps in and forced Israel to the table to negotiate a 2 state solution, then we are witnessing Israel being allowed to pursue a genocide.
  15. The government is a right wing coalition of ex idf militant nutjobs so I'd be fucking surprised if anything comes better after him in terms of wanting a 2 state solution instead of the annihilation of the Palestinians
  16. It was a policy of 'containment' - keep the west bank and gaza strip separated, say you won't deal with Hamas so imprison the Gazans, and because the west bank has the plo who aren't violent and want a 2 state solution, militarily occupy the west bank, and build settlements on it which further erode the agreed borders of the 2 state solution. Now it hasn't worked because, shock fucking horror you can't just lock millions of people in a cage forever, the policy seems to be well let's just kill all of them and completely flatten Gaza to the ground. The correct option all along should have been the 2 state solution
  17. https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/netanyahu-israel-gaza-hamas-1.7010035 https://www.wionews.com/world/explained-how-netanyahu-helped-grow-hamas-which-became-the-frankensteins-monster-for-him-651336 This one is an Israeli newspaper https://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/2023-10-20/ty-article-opinion/.premium/a-brief-history-of-the-netanyahu-hamas-alliance/0000018b-47d9-d242-abef-57ff1be90000 And so is this one https://www.timesofisrael.com/for-years-netanyahu-propped-up-hamas-now-its-blown-up-in-our-faces/ There are lots of other sources and direct quotes from him but you know how to Google. It sounds like a conspiracy theory because it's so fucking mental. But nope, completely true
  18. Already stole that years ago
  19. https://unctad.org/news/unrealized-potential-palestinian-oil-and-gas-reserves I wasn't aware of this before. Area c of the west bank and gaza are sitting on 500 b of untapped oil.
  20. The thing is, I went to the London one 2 weeks ago, and I was taken aback with how peaceful it was. I've never seen so many people either. I spoke to police and they were basically just bystanding as they didnt need to do anything. And then the next day I saw the news and I saw ministers commenting on antisemitism, intimidation, and all manner of negative connotations attached to the march and the people who attended. Was like seeing a polar representation of the reality.
