I have actually seen both Miki and Willy play quite a lot and I don´t like the fact that they will end up w the spuds. I will suffer from ptsd after this transfer window. Now where´s the razorblade I´m going to cut my wrists.....

Let´s put it this way. I was over the moon when we were sniffing around Mikhitaryan as he is a player I have dreamt of us buying. There is one player though that has impressed me more when I have been watching other teams - Willian. He is the kind of player that makes other players better and he makes thing happening on the pitch. Yes, I agree the youtube clips does not show his qualities. I would be very surprised if we could get this player in front of all other rich top clubs. A fantastic player.

Kacaniklic was instrumental in the swedish comeback, looks brilliant. Can we buy him back? please? Konschesky for Kasaniklic - What a deal. How was that phrase again? Oh yeah "Jesus wept...."

Interesting defensive player list. Can´t recall seeing Medel play. Leroy Fer is great talent though. I heard we´re linked with Fernando Reges of Porto as well who´d be a great addition to our squad. I wonder how Nigel de Jong is doing on the bench at city? Could he be an option? January comes closer and closer.......

There are some really desperate suggestions in here I must say. Remember that if we bring in a player, someone else must be dropped. That means we can´t be looking at a squad filler. I think that if we are about to bring in a striker it must be top quality that can guarantee improvement in the art of scoring goals. Or, we can just wait for the luck to return.....

Anyway, it´s hard to make any judgement on any player that has been linked with us (I must admit I was over the moon when we bought Diouf as he´d had a brilliant world cup, and we all know how that turned out) but I have checked Lovren several times and he has stood out as a great talent, I think he´s only 21.

Of all the players for the central defence that we have been linked with Dejan Lovren is the one that I really hope we should go for. I´d say he carry many of the qualities Lawrenson had. He´s powerful, elegant, has pace and most of all he knows how to tackle. Check youtube....

I still have a sore neck from shaking my head in frustration during the game today. Today we were back at a level making a team of Istvan Koztmas looking brilliant. We all know investments are needed in the summer and we are crying out for wingers on both flanks but it´s obvious that we need to rebuild the central line as well. Spearing and Lucas are not a couple to be playing together at this level and Gerrard ain´t getting younger. We can´t rely on Agger as he´s made of glass and Carra is over the hill, or at least on his way. Skrtl might develop further and Soto? Well thanks, buy buy..... We need at least one dominant central defender that can boss the defence and a midfield general together with all the other positions wide - LB, LW, RW. The players that comes in must have PACE! and must be able to handle the FIRST TOUCH! If you don´t know what I mean, check Kuyt today. I´m a bit worried about the players we are linked with lately. Today I hear we are after Oscar Wendt and thats more of the same we already have at the moment - mediocre players.

If we are about to strengthen our squad we need to add a few things as I see it. 1. Pace in the final third 2. Players with a good first touch 3. Aerial ability in the back, a dominant central defender w. a footballing brain 4. Finally sort out the wide areas 5. A hard man in the middle ala mascherano I think we have improved selling a sulky forward getting in two hungry ones w different qualities. I think we should go for Lukaku as well as an upcoming superstar and can add something extra to the squad.

Can´t link yet as I need 15 posts but Liverpool fctv says is all bollocks, or to be more precise - Pepe says it´s all bollocks. He says he´s seen all the tabloid talk and he just shakes heads. Many candidates out there being better than Roy for sure Defence: We need someone in the middle that can boss - for real. Meaning not only shouting and making gestures ala Carra. Don´t get me wrong, he´s a living legend but has always needed someone by his side with different skill. What we need is someone that is dominant in the air and has pace. Cahill or Hangeland might fit the bill. The Left side: A chapter of it´s own. How difficult can it get? There´s a lot of defenders we could choose from. Figueroa that we were linked with played really on last sunday is just one option, can´t believe we got Konchesky and Fulham Salcido - worst case of business ever. I´m really surprised no one has mentioned Matt Jarvis? Have I missed something about him? Great technique, direct, pacy, really good tracking back, great attitude.. Why aren´t we linked with him? 4-4-2 or 4-2-3-1? Doesn´t matter, we need cover or compliment to Nando. Big fella or speedy Gonzales or mr. magic feet? Depends. The irony in all this is that Fulham got themselves a far superior defender than the one turning up at Anfield. My first choice for the left side was Salcido who had an exellent world cup, agressive with a fine first touch. Also, when Aurelio entered the pitch against Napoli the improvement were shocking. I guess all this puts the light at the situation we are in. A team with a terrible balance and a management without a clue. Hopefully our new owners will make things better......
