It isn't about wit it is about people like him who make excuses for a manager who is never good enough for this club and then when it goes wrong blame it all on the previous manager. They can't have it both ways, tell us the mood in the camp and it was time for a change etc., and then when it doesn't go to plan blame it all on the previous manager. We had a shit season and on the strength of that the previous manager is no longer here, we were told it was time for a fresh change, he had lost the dressing room, he could no longer motivate the players etc., so he went and fair enough. Then we are told in the summer after Hodgsons appointment that there is now a positive mood in the camp and players look forward to go to training. Now if the latter is to be believed where is the positivity in anything we have seen to date? where is the players committed trying their best and playing the football like they played in 08.09, you just don't become bad players over night. The thing that worries me and it is true of any struggling side is when you get a change of manager there is normally a positive side effect, an uplift in effort, an improvement in results and performance but we have SEEN NONE OF THIS. The players / purslow can't have it both ways saying the mood in the camp is very good and then play shitter than last season. I was against the appointment because it pandered to the little Englander mentality that all things english are the best and were jumping on the Hodgson bandwagon based on reaching a final of a competition he didn't win or his abysmal away record with a distinctly average team. It was like before Rafa was appointment curbishley was the darling of the english media and there was a rush in some camps to get curbishley in because he was english and was the flavour of the month at the time, what a disaster that would have been. I will give hodgson time and not be a knee jerk and post on forums everytime we get a shit result but let us not be blinkered here because he was never liverpool class and wouldn't have got a look in if we wern't so fucked up off the field. He took the job fully knowing the circumstances and if he doesn't succeed he has only himself to blame ..... one last big pay day doesn't always end up in the happiest ways. -
At it again just can't help but have digs at Rafa, it is funny how these Roy lovers want it both ways, they harp on about how crap we were last season and rafas team were shit. What happened to the words of Purslow about there being a feel good factor in the camp with roys appointment and other players saying it was right for Rafa to go. So rafa has gone and what is your excuse now? why are you still playing shit? why can't you pass the ball? why in 3 leage away games the number of chances you have created be counted on one hand? It is early days but I see nothing in terms of progression from what was a very shit season last season, i don't see any progressive tactics from Roy even the slightest improvement....... but what the hell when all else fail just blame it all on RAFA.

It was too high because that bastion of truth and honesty Purslow said so on his interview on 5 live. Just like he said the mood in the club was much better now hodgson had come in explains our brilliant performances and outstanding football so far this season.

Spot on, it was like the wank fest that happened when we signed the legend that is Joe Cole and the supposed gratitude for retaining gerrard and torres. The fact is so many of our fans are just plainly ignorant or don't want to face the reality that we have an average manager, signed average players and are royaly fcuked as a club. But hey everything will be fine we have Joe Cole and Konchesky led by the great Hodgson.

We had our best defensive partnership last season with Skertel and Soto as the centre backs and not with carragher and we DIDN'T fall apart. It is a myth that somehow we can't cope without him. He is a legend in his own life time who seems to think shouting at his fellow players somehow makes him more committed and a better player.

We aren't supposed to question his team selection and the inept performance of the team because it just isn't 'the liverpool way', but getting a 3rd rate manager is and buying mediocre players suddenly has become the liverpool way.

Well where is this new found good mood? because it certainly reflected in the play I have seen so far it has been utterly abysmal. Funny how the Rafa knockers "oh but compared to last season today was better", RAFA is fucking gone and it is Roy's team and i have seen no bounce in style, no change in formation or tactics for the better if anything it has got worse.

I know it is early days but if you look at our two home games so far this season we have bene unable to impose ourselves on teams, Arsenal passed it around for us for fun in the first half and the same with the Turkish side. I wouldn' mind if we had genuine alternatives in midfield but we don't we lack creativity and vision. It is mundane and boring and frankly predictable. I am not being funny but we are a mess of a club and I don't buy this bollocks about the feel good factor, you wait if we get anything like the injuries like the season and the results dont go our way then it will soon evaporate.
