  1. Dig deeper... I'll bet anything that C n A have a contact at the FT and are looking to spread shit and cause panic on this side of the aisle...
  2. If it gets out of the first round we're owned by China...
  3. It's been posted several times on this site and others... Gillette's going public or grandstanding with this Kirdi guy and the Arabs made that (going public) necessary to put pressure on RBS, put the spotlight on Broughton and prevent things from dragging into the 22nd century... The reaction from C n A is that it obviously worked... Now he sits back down with Broughton and gets the deal done having shown he's serious and shone the process into the public light. He has no need to feed further the grandstanding and play the game with all these 'new bidders' being brought forth by C n A because he knows they are shit... Now its up to the board and Broughton to do the right thing and cure C n A in one fell swoop! Line up the Nobel Prize.... provided they get it right...
  4. Its good to see them in a right state of panic.... We can only hope...
  5. As N'Gog says its more of a pressure item to get the Yanks out. C n A have been known to hold on for literally YEARS because they are so stubborn and thick. This is a way to put them over a table and get things done without lube... (figured I'd join all the homoeroticism i've seen here today...) Also, it protects the current players (assets) from being stripped away to pay down debt and buy C n A more time because if this drags out and they see they will not get what they want and won't get close, they'll start that shit in order to bleed the club dry and sell a corpse to the next owner...
  6. Would like to think that, the more I see of him the more I like his game... Why can't Inter just hurry up and relieve us of Javier my-wife-is-unhappy Mascherano so we can get Remy and Defour in. Oh yeah, wrap Fabio in bubble wrap so we have a left back for the Arsenal game or until we can get cover...
  7. I hope at least some portion of the fine for Spain is for all the diving and begging for cards they were doing... Can't defend Holland but its amazing they finished the game with 10 players for all the acting the spanish were doing... and for all the horror tackling...
  8. I'm sure it can and probably will... The big question is how do the courts work over in the UK in regards to this kind of thing? I'm sure they are well versed in the legal loopholes and whatnot over here in the US, but what will that translate to in a UK court... I know they have all the money in to hire lawyers etc... Please correct me if I'm wrong, but if they get classified as a 'distressed borrower' (I believe that's the term), they will lose much of their ability to prevent anything.... would LOVE to see that....
  9. Right, the player can't be sold without consent, but the bid can be accepted behind the manager's back, which is what I was referring to.
  10. Perhaps, but he has consistently made comment on the side regarding the ownership situation, puttin the transfers on CP etc... Basically letting everyone know some of the implied conditions of his hire under this regime... I know it can be taken both ways, but I'd like to give Roy a bit of credit for knowing how to play this game. Personally, I think he has or was given some inkling that this was coming down the line and wants to make sure he's on the right side of the shitstorm when it hits...
  11. But Wenger and Ancelotti don't have to subtly remind the masses that there is a chance CnA or their lapdog CP will sell the player behind his back. I think he's just keeping it out there that until the situation changes, his hands may be tied to some degree. I think by stating that openly, he's distancing himself from the 'yes man' persona some had accused him of when he was brought aboard...
  12. "I don't like the fact he's got his finger in other sporting pies, namely the New York Yankees and Cleveland Cavaliers. Thats all I have to say on the matter for now. " But unlike C n A, Huang's sporting ventures haven't all gone to shit.... Track record's do count for something and Corinthians, the Rangers, the Canadiens and now Liverpool are pretty damning for CnA if this goes to court... there's a precedent there... Huang's been involved with the Yankees, the Rockets and the Cavaliers, three of the most successful franchises in the US (though Cleveland is going to fall now that what's-his-name went to Miami)....
  13. What about Anthony Annan from Ghana (Playing in Scandanavia presently isn't he), or Michael Bradley from Borussia Munchenbeatusyesterday... Both are younger than Parker or Poulson, less trouble off the field than Banega, closer to first team than Lucas, or the ressies bar Shelvey, and have huge upside. Bradley has been the best player on USA for two years now (despite all the hype for prima-donovan and clint dempsey) and Annan made Ghana forget about Essien at least thru the world cup... Both can play the role of the shield for the back four and neither needs to charge forward recklessly though Bradley has scored some great goals for the USA in crucial times... Also, BOTH could probably be had for less than either Poulson or Parker because they are younger and from smaller footballing countries...
