  1. It's sad that he's going to Real I reckon.
  2. Well the side has come together anyway and the move to 4-4-2 is paying dividends. 6 games into the new season and Suarez can't stop scoring. Reina Beck Kelly Sakho Bastos Suarez M'Vila Vidal Hazard Suarez Carroll played 6 won 5 drawn 1.
  3. Fair shout. Udinese's scouting network does it again!
  4. Not sure about him playing "across the defense" but he reminds me a lot of Khedira in the way he goes about things in midfield.
  5. That "winning recipes" had some quality lines but overall it was just shit comedy.
  6. I don't mind who we sign, we all have our favourites of course but it's going to be pretty hard not to improve the squad to be honest. I trust who we've got in charge and I in part trust Comolli's eye for a player.
  7. Just won't let it lie will you? I made a mistake, a mistake I admitted to. I'm sure you never make mistakes though. I'm not playing the victim I'm just bored to be honest, not to mention slightly hungover and this infests every thread and there has to be a point where it stops. Your last line shows you're just on a wind up and I'm not rising to it. Now that I've made my position clear on that point as well feel free to carry on as I won't be responding to anything you post that is not football related on the football forum. Do you have anything to say about the topic at hand?
  8. By that rationale Barca best jib that Messi lad, he certainly doesn't fit their passing play.
  9. It's a real pity that Navas gets so homesick. On this point, how did he end up going to the world cup? I'd imagine that was a big step for him.
  10. It wasn't a lie, it was a mistake, he was captain after Southgate left and it was ironically Southgate that decided he would let him go at the age of about 32-33? Good decision to be fair. I was trying to get back on topic but you like the gobshites who keep bringing this up in every thread when I comment won't let it happen. By continuing this you continue along with everyone to spoil the site for others and I'm trying to move away from that. Feel free to comment again but from now on any JJ or GB comment will not be responded to by me, so feel free to point out how "mediocre" he was but maybe look up the word first before you over exaggerate how bad he was, something you're ironically having a pop at me for doing!
  11. Muntari failed his way to Inter and Onuoha was never given a chance by City really but played well when he was. I'd rather have Onuhoa at RB than Richards (yes I still believe he's a CB as Sven showed). No arguments with the Villa comment though, they've been buying average to poor for far too long.
  12. Ah right so the fact that Mascherano and Boateng were on the same pitch and the MEDIOCRE Boateng was the better player means nothing? Face it, you've completely forgetten the games Boateng used to have against top sides where he always matched up against whatever the other top side had to offer, he was a quality player and you're simply wrong about him. Look at how pathetic your counter is, in what world are Lisbie and Boateng comparable? Boateng was the captain of Boro for 6 years and for the most part their best player. It is well known to anyone that knows anything about him that his problem was being dragged down by his team playing shit at smaller clubs. He always raised his game to the level of the top teams, simply because he could. How many times did Lisbie come off as the most important player against Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal or United? Yeah thought so.
  13. For those of the mac fraternity, just what makes them stand out so much in comparison to pc's?
  14. Oh there's no doubt it can change, but if he does finish 7th it's a brilliant achievement and then if he builds on it ... You know it's all ifs, buts and maybes. You can't just dismiss him being able to finish 7th because "those 6 will always be those 6" we thought we'd always be in "those 4", as I said things change. Let's not forget the state Bolton were in before he took over as well.
  15. Proper mediocre that Boateng: BBC SPORT | Football | Premier League | Middlesbrough 1-1 Liverpool Middlesbrough: Schwarzer, Young, Wheater, Huth, Grounds, O'Neil, Boateng, Rochemback, Downing, Aliadiere (Hutchinson 73), Sanli. Subs Not Used: Turnbull, Riggott, Lee, Johnson. Booked: Huth. Goals: Boateng 26. Liverpool: Reina, Finnan, Carragher, Hyypia, Riise, Arbeloa (Babel 46), Gerrard, Mascherano, Benayoun (Alonso 59), Voronin (Kuyt 75), Torres. Subs Not Used: Itandje, Agger. BBC Sport Player Rater man of the match: Middlesbrough's George Boateng 7.28 (on 90 minutes).
  16. Not really no. Don't you get bored carrying this on? I know I'm gettin bored. You didn't rate him, I did. Did you see him when Boro beat United 4-1? Funny how a player who was "shit" could totally dominate the midfield of the Champions for fun. I suppose it was just a coincidence that Boro stopped being United's bogey team right around the time Boateng lost it and left Boro? If you think the fact he stayed at Boro out of loyalty and respect to the team, the chairman and the fans is cause to mock him, well we see things different on that score. Mascherano is a cunt, an overrated cunt who has been shown up for what he is at Barca. I'd rather have a player with similar ability who stayed at his club worked every game, never said he wouldn't play and stayed true to his word at Boro for 6 years despite constant pull from his home land and other teams who were better than Boro, one of which was A.C. Milan. As far as the prem is concerned, he's gone, get over it.
  17. I don't think it's easy to finish 7th if you're Bolton. There are easily 7 better squads with more money than you. United Arsenal Chelsea City Liverpool Tottenham Sunderland Aston Villa and that's just off the top of my head. It's a quality achievement in what has probably been the most competitive premier league ever to finish 7th and if he can do so and go on to continue getting that place then he's beating the odds every single year. Question for all those that think Holloway is "nailed on" for manager of the year. Does he still get it if/when his team are relegated? That would be a brave decision to make and one that would surely never be seen again. Personally though I hate to say it, if Spurs finish 4th I think Redknapp deserves it.
  18. It's where the smart money is I'd say and if we can get Taiwo as well on a free we probably will. I still want Ansaldi, he's class. Would love us to bang a bid in for Van Der Wiel and play Kelly at CB. VDW will end up at Milan probably though given their links with them.
  19. Not after he spent about 7 years in their league where they could closely observe him they didn't.
  20. Anyone still think this isn't a planned money making idea? He's playing his role far too well for my money.
  21. What the fuck is with the "Poznan", who pays 50 quid for a ticket to see the team they love and then turns round to miss the game? Dickheads.
  22. Players over performing - Check Whole team playing as a unit - Check Little to no budget - Check For me what he's doing is more impressive than Holloway whose team I still feel will go down. Coyle is building a platform for Bolton to get into the Europa League and look to stay at that level for time to come.
  23. If you backed it ages ago, surely you took a price, or why bother?
  24. All completely true but the real question is, will Clive be getting your copy ?
