  1. Koulibaly. The CL verdict expected on Mon; if their ban is scrapped, I fully expect them to go and get the 2nd best CD in the world.
  2. I do think he needs to be more of the number 9, and less of the false. We keep far too many men behind the ball when attacking, so we really need that 3rd attacker.
  3. We're much easier to defend against. Play too much front to back possession allowing teams to just settle in, we don't get enough players in the box, no midfield runners, and we don't have anyone to drive with the ball. I love Bobby, but picture Stevie in that position causing havoc and collapsing their defence with mo and Mane looking for runs. We're far too happy to ust play in front of the defence knowing that we'll get a couple of chances per game and our players are so good, that it means we'll most likely score, and we're safe in the knowledge that with our defensive unit, we won't concede that many.
  4. They're not playing flat out, and the excuses that can be made for our (understandable) drop off can also be made for theirs. They're just tuning for the cups and still destroying pretty much everyone.
  5. No one gets near city next year. I know the no fans in the stadium jokes, but the way they play footie really is tuned to that. They keep the ball in the final 3rd with runners and passers everywhere, and I think the pressure and momentum a full stadium can muster really hurts them at times as they're a bit weak. Take that out of the equation and they're almost unbeatable. Our possession play is front to back to front to back, can be way too slow, we don't get any runners past the front 3, and balls into the box rarely have more than 2 men fighting for it. I think the fact we've had to play run-in football for pretty much 2 years, has affected the way the team plays a lot.
  6. Too much of our possession is wasted going front to back, then round the back. we're not creating spaces by moving the defence around, we get so far up the pitch, then it ends up back with Lovren and Virg within 2 passes.
  7. Problem that our possession goes from back to front, we're not pinning them in their final 3rd from side to side, we're pinning them into their half. Way too many defenders, versus way too little space.
  8. Never a good sign when you can pick out individual shouts in the crowd.
  9. Doing it once or twice you'll get away with it. Players are getting older and Arsenal were racking up negative net spends every transfer window for a few years. It's taken us long enough to get here, that falling in love with not spending a penny instead of capitalising on our new found appeal would be mental.
  10. I'm sure Alisson won't mind taking up Adrians role next year, so shouldn't be too much of an issue.
  11. https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/timo-werner-release-clause-20m-21567107?utm_source=twitter.com&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=sharebar iverpool have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Timo Werner with reports his release clause is significantly lower than originally claimed. Werner has been linked with a move to the Reds and has launched a charm offensive by talking up Jurgen Klopp and his side. It has been widely reported the in-demand striker would be available for a release clause of between £50million and £55million dependant upon the success of his current club, RB Leipzig, as long as it is triggered by the end of April. But Sport1 have now claimed his release clause is actually worth just €30m (£25m) plus performance-based bonuses in news which will only increase levels of demand. Numerous clubs have been linked with Werner, who scored in the Champions League against Tottenham last week and has 27 goals in 33 appearances this season. But he has been vocal in his praise of Liverpool this week, labelling Jurgen Klopp the best coach in the world and fuelling rumours he could link up with the German at Anfield in the summer. But he has been vocal in his praise of Liverpool this week, labelling Jurgen Klopp the best coach in the world and fuelling rumours he could link up with the German at Anfield in the summer. He also hailed Klopp, who is a known admirer of the Germany international and is considering him to add to his wealth of attacking options. "Jurgen Klopp is the best coach in the world," Werner told Sky Germany. "There is a lot to suggest that my style of play would suit there (Liverpool)." Klopp responded to Werner's comments over the weekend and said: “On the one side, it’s easier if players see you as that. “If they see you are successful, it’s easier to get into talks with players. But on the other side, it’s more difficult the better your team is because they ask questions like ‘where and when would I play?’ “We need players who want to be part of this, who want to fight for their spot, who want to make the next step together with us, who want to develop and improve so that’s it. “We have these players and whoever wants to join us, needs to have exactly this kind of attitude.”
  12. Probably counting this year, because we're only top at the mo because of VAR, PED's, FA conspiracy, UEFA conspiracy, Refereeing conspiracy. #taintedtitle remember.
  13. When everything is handed on a plate, it's easy to become entitled.
  14. Zabaleta's last game there tonight. We support our kids better than they support their long term club servants.
  15. That's just the kind of thing a racist would say...
  16. Give it a week before the plan on blue moon is to knock door and run at the UEFA HQ.
