  1. If Benitez would change his style, then I wouldnt mind him to stay. But his defensive, cautious approach, and the mentality that prefers hard workers over actual skillful players, and overall unflexibility, it hasnt changed, and doesnt look like changing.
  2. yeh that was toungue in cheek lol..internet aint that good for transmitting emotion..my bad for not putting smiley I guess..moving on anyway..
  3. Yeah, but I just think he has taken us as far as he can. He's bought some decent players, but he doesnt seem to noe how to use them. Torres off at 70 min is a recent example. Also our performances this season is a bigger example. Babel, Aquilani, Benayoun, all decent attacking options, but he chooses to play players like Kuyt and Lucas. Basically I just think he's lost the plot, it's time for a change.
  4. Nah I aint a child genius, thx for overestimating.. I jz started following Liverpool during Houllier's last season. Twas the one where Henry scored a hattrick 2-4. And it wasnt as bad as this one. Am 18 btw.
  5. This is the worst season Ive had in all my years following Liverpool, but league wise for Benitez, Id say this is just below average for him. His "first place" is the table's "third place". And its this mentality which means we gotta change manager.
  6. Actually no, Guardiola stepped into a squad who came third. the only big names they had then were Puyol, Ronaldinho, Deco, Messi, Eto'o. Xavi and Iniesta only emerged after Ronaldinho and Deco left, and Guardiola made them main men. Pique and Alves were Guardiola's purchases. As for Pedro and Buisquets, they only emerged this season, coz Guardiola promoted them. Im not asking for us to wow like Barcelona, but we definitely have the squad to win. Reina, Mascherano, Torres, Gerrard, would walk into any team. And we have young up and comers like Pacheco and Babel..Plus some creativity in Aquilani(I think) and Benayoun. We just need the right manager to mould them into a winning team. Btw, I do agree that Guardiola has an easier job than our next manager, but what Im saying is, if Guardiola can take a squad that came third and win 6 trophies in the following season, I don't see why our next manager shouldnt be able to win at least one major trophy. Our squad isnt that bad. It's Benitez thats making it look crap.
  7. Well Guardiola was a big risk I imagine, look how that turned out. I heard that Cruyff had Mourinho on the candidates list too, but crossed him out coz he wasnt synonym with the Barcelona way.
  8. Ive always backed him since he's arrived. He's a good prospect, just needs a good man manager. Benitez rarely plays him, and drop hims without reason. Now he plays him more often, and we're seeing the results..I still think he's more of a striker tho..but we know Benitez likes his strikers to play on the wings..
  9. Counting league and champions league as major trophies 1990-2010(20 years) Man Utd: 11+1 Liverpool: 0+1 Chelsea: 2+0 Arsenal: 4+0 Barcelona: 9+3 Real Madrid: 6+3 Out of all the major clubs, we have been the worst in the past 20 years..thats why we gotta have a manager who believe that we can be the best, not one who thinks that an european cup in 5 years is good.. I think either Mourinho or Laurent Blanc would be good.. Btw, does the owners decide or Purslow and Dalglish decide, on who will be the next manager?
  10. Compared to Man Utd, thats crap. I really don't see what there is to be proud of.
  11. Mourinho.. if not, then Laurent Blanc..He should be a cheap option. Plus like Guardiola showed, you don't need to have CV's full of trophies to be a good manager..
  12. A record eh? My first post match thread even..lol Anyway I think Lebron's reasoning is that Torres wasnt moving much, whereas Ngog moved and ran more(basically fresher legs and all). Personally, I think that the chances we created was due to our urgency and not Ngog. Also, Torres might not hav ran much, and he might have been "exhausted", but we bought Torres to finish chances not run himself to the ground. He's like our Inzaghi, only much better. With him on the pitch he would hav finished any one of those chances that Ngog had. Id rather have a Torres that isnt moving around much, but finish one of those chances, than an Ngog that makes runs but has a poor finishing rate. Having said that tho, I don't get why he didn't just sub Kuyt for Ngog, if he wanted "fresher legs".There's no rule saying they cant both be on the pitch..
  13. I just want Benitez and the owners gone. Whichever will help bring this..
  14. I have to say Im not one who said that, but I don't see anything wrong with that statement. IF we attacked, we create more chances, and have more chance of winning. Simple logic. Look at the last 10 minutes for indication.
  15. Apparently our last away league win was Villa in December(which was I think the one that Torres won for us)..
  16. He did the same with the Lyon game too..He took Torres off for the league game previously, presumably to rest him, but at the Lyon game we still drew(Babel scoring one)..
  17. We wernt creative coz Ngog came on, we were creative coz we went all out coz we were desperate. If he really thought Ngog was "the one", then why not sub Kuyt out for him? Torres can score a goal with a chance. Ngog couldnt with four chances..
  18. Anybody know whether RAWK has closed it's registration? Coz I seem unable to register for an account there..
  19. I think it's more due to Benitez nature of being cautios first, and only go all out when we're desperate(i.e. backs against wall, last 10 mins etc..)
  20. Seems like Benitez knows Torres body better then he does, coz Torres look equally puzzled at being taken off..
  21. If coming fifth means a total change for the club long term, then Id willilngly take 5th..
  22. The way we're going, I don't think we need to be concerned about the Liverpool Chelsea game and who we need to support..
