    Thing is, who would initiate such an investigation? The Goverment certainly won't, they're so far up Murdoch's arse. Any investigation woud destroy the Premier League, which i'd be happy with. Can't see the media supporting any campaign for an investigation, especially as half of them are owned by Murdoch, goes in circles.

    But this illusion of "Everyone thinks the FA favour their team" is exactly what allows this kind of shit to happen. I'm trying to look at this from an impartial point of view. I think it's clear, United are favoured. Ferguson is often lauded for his use of 'mind games'. The fact that the press embrace his use of them is worryng. I don't think money is exchanging hands, but I think there is a bias from the hierarchy(The FA, Premier League, British Manager Association) that conciously allows it to go on and it affects referees and guides them into making bias desicions. Another thing that deeply concerns me is the fact Sky in the past have activley tried to buy United. It suggests that they do indeed favour United. They fit in with their ethos of commercialisation.
