I think the fact that Amorim and Slot were most linked confirms we have been looking for Klopp Junior, if you will. Overachievers with something about them personality-wise.

We seem to prefer Slot now for whatever reason. Might be cheaper, more similar style to Klopp, more willing to work in our structure, maybe.

Indeed, there are a lot of similarities. I also think I read his tactics are very similar to Klopp's.

  2. Never heard of this guy until yesterday but have been doing a bit reading around today.

One thing that really stands out is how much Feyenoord fans love him, he's got a Klopp-like status there. Seems to have transformed them, while also playing good football. Won things, reached a European final as well. Also had AZ in 2nd place during abandoned Covid season.

Also seems clear he's very likeable and engaging, good with the media and keeps his players happy. Also a lot of talk of overperforming in the transfer market and getting the most out of players, bringing through youth.

Sounds pretty good to me tbh.

  3. The problem is we're currently not playing well enough to win all our games and realistically we're probably going to have to do that to have any chance. I look at the games left and every single one looks like a banana skin. Obviously it's not impossible but you'd have to be a massive optimist to look at the past week's results and performances and think we're going to win enough points to really challenge now.

Yep. Nobody answered me. All went quiet.

Probably because im a boring cunt

The question had already been asked and answered during a discussion between lifetime fan and A Red. And the answer that A Red gave is pretty much exactly what Anubis has just said...

In other news, Glasgow is in Scotland.

Are you happy that a prominent DUP figure is cosying up with Farage and other right wing gobshites from the Reform UK party?

You asked me to answer this and the reason I asked for further context is that I don't really understand the question, not because I won't answer it. If you insist though, I'll try to answer it  as best I can.

Am I happy that Ian Paisley has been pictured with Nigel Farage? I don't care about it and I don't have an opinion. If you want to say they're a pair of bellends, I'll not disagree.

Without you providing the context behind the question, I'm assuming (and, honestly, correct me if I'm wrong) you're suggesting that I should in some way condemn it or I'm in some way associated with it? How am I? Like I said, what's it got to do with me? You seem to be implying/assuming (again, correct me if I'm wrong) that I vote DUP or have some political affiliation with Nigel Farage? I've never voted DUP in my life and I voted remain in the Brexit vote.

  6. Oh look, here's Carradona posting another story about people he doesn't like, proving my point yet again and all this in the context of refusing to acknowledge making sectarian comments. Sure, never worry, it's only the absolute cunts in "Unionist, poppy-shagging corner" who might notice.

    Where ate the sectarian comments/bigotry?

Point a few posts out, I’m sure there are a loads. Let’s have a discussion about it.

And don’t be using “hun” because despite the fantasy that it’s sectarian, it isn’t. The above song is though.

I got asked not to use the term “hun” and for that reason I don’t out of respect. That doesn’t make it sectarian. If I said “dirty orange bastard” maybe yeah but I won’t take lectures off fans of a team

who regularly sing about being up to their knees in fenian blood en masse.

Every time you post, you prove all the points I'm making. I don't even support Rangers. Yes, I used watch them in the past the odd time, especially in the late 90s but that's it. So it's got nothing to do with me, yet you want to attribute it to me based on your own preconceived biases. If it needs to be said, because seemingly it does (incredibly), I think that anybody who sings anything like that is a cunt... Fucking obviously...

Were you hoping to come in here and find people applauding the actions of those fucking rats? Serious question.

Obviously not and nor did I expect anyone to do that.

You may have missed my point, which, in case it's not obvious, is that some people are on here posting anything that paints unionists/protestants in a bad light, then essentially using it as an excuse to make casual borderline sectarian comments and perpetuate ludicrous ignorant stereotypes. I can assure you that if that the other day had happened in a unionist/protestant area after some type of Orange parade, it'd have been posted here, with the usual suspects lining up to make such remarks. So, what's this thread about? Is it about posting shit that kicks off in Northern Ireland, and if so, is it not surprising that nobody posted about the violence the other day seeing as it was a high-profile news story?

Yeah, gang of little idiots being bellends. Did you mention anything when the other lot burnt that bus out when the driver was scrambling to get out? I’ll have a look back. If you did then fair enough.

I can confirm that I didn't mention it because I don't even know what you're talking about. While you're looking though, let me know if anybody else mentioned it.

Just seen where Robbo got injured, nothing malicious, think his studs got caught in the turf.

Yeah. As he was landing, the toe area of his boot caught in the pitch and his ankle twisted. He looked pretty gutted, like he thought it was a bad one

We were cruising at the end of the second half, and into the first half of extra time, then made changes that didn't need making. Gakpo, and im prolly going to get slated for this, is another Origi, scores the odd goal that means something, but is deffo not good enough to be in this team.

He is not good enough full stop.

Origi is probably still better now than fucking Gakpo is, and that's setting aside all the moments Origi conjured up. Gakpo is absolute pish.
