  1. Terry got sent off, does that mean that neither Terry or Vidic play next weekend??
  2. There is still a lot of football to be played but after playing like we did today without our 2 biggest players, then there is hope.....
  3. Better make that 3-1. Anelka just scored---
  4. A love you Dirk thread? That will attract the anti-Kuyt people like a bear to honey.... But I totally agree with you, I am so glad King Kuyt is with us....
  5. Maybe you two need a thread of your own.
  6. Makes the victory all the more sweater...... So many critics will have to eat their hats tomorrow.....
  7. I can see your point. As an attacking player he doesnt offer much, even when he is one on one with the keeper he is prone to shooting the keeper. However talking about his performance today, there were a number of occasions where Kuyt was in the right place at the right time to head, clear or pass a ball from defence. He was everywhere today, on the wing, in the center, up front, in the back getting his hands dirty. Now he might not score enough and as a striker I do admit that this is a problem. But he contributes and always helps in the back and up front. I cant ignore that when talking about Kuyt.....
  8. I dont get it why people insist on bashing Kuyt for them two misses, wasnt him that penetrated the box with Masch then passed the ball to Babel for the winning goal?? Even if he did not score any of the goal he was presented with, does his assist not make up for those misses ten times over?? He was bought as a striker, but he helps the team so much that you cannot negate that fact when talking about his scoring record. He should of scored the second, but he didnt and I for one am not dwelling on it cause he made up for it. The guy is a workhorse, can lead the line, drive into the box, cross, tackle, close down, link up and shoot from long range. He did not score once today but he contributed and for that fact alone, plese get of his back and enjoy this victory.....
  9. Did anyone see when Webb gave the second yellow actually started to walk AWAY from Vidic? He must of thought that it was first yeallthen relised that it was a red.............
  10. You never try to protect the ball when Masch is behind you, poor Giggs must be kicking himself tonight. Masch is king on the midfield and on his day, nothing gets past him, man beast or ball.......
  11. Rafael Benitez today declared Liverpool's momentous victory over Manchester United as something the whole team can be proud of. RAFA: I AM SO PROUD OF MY TEAM
  12. Great debut I thouhgt, never stopped fighting, always an open man to pass to and some trickery. I think he is very strong in the air too althouhg we didnt get to see that aspect of his game today. Put is some great crosses and his communication with Aurellio was excellent. I havent seen our left side like that in ages, Reira looks like the buy of the season.....and only at 5.5 million.....
  13. So by that Keane has a torrid game then?? I dont think a striker should be judged only on his goal returns, especially with Kuyt as he offers so much more than just goals. He is a unique foward....
  14. Dirk was great today par from them two misses and he had a couple of stabs from long range. The only two areas that he needs to work on are his shots and his first touch, other than that he can tackle, hold the ball, cross and can pick up another played in the area......
  15. Couple of things, we fell back to an unlucky first goal where dare I say it the Chief did not pick up Tevez for the goal. To be fair it was only like 4 minutes and things for us did not start going until midway in the first half. Lucky break for the goal althouhg Reira was breathing down Browns neck and Van Der Sar was forced into the error. Special mentions go to Alonso who I thought was immense today, Reira who did well enought and looks like he has a mean cross on him, the chief for never stop fighting and the entire back 4 who not only attacked on more than one occasion were solid until the final whilslte. Keane and Kuyt need to start scoring on a regular basis but other than that what a day to remember........ Congrats to the tag "Babel time" by the way....
  16. My mind floats to Westerveld (hope I spelt that correctly) but I cant remember him being that bad....
  17. He steered us clear of trouble and kept the rift-rafts that we have today out of our club. Houllier was a good manager but what you say about the paranoid bit is true then it comes down to character, he just didnt hack it.
  18. Maybe he saw Rooneys granny whore sucking a lolipop whilst listening to "Dont Cha"........ *ducks behind keyboard*
  19. True as that maybe, there are only two ways to look at it. Either: A) Lyon was so far ahead in quality that they didnt even need a manager to form formations and train them which in turn relays a statement to how shit the their league really is or B) Houllier took over from another manager who adapted his own formations to the same squad and retained the league title which makes him a good man manager. I am toying with semantics here I know but maybe give credit where credit is due you know. He might of taken over but he still did something for them to become champions again....
