    How can you break into a secure apartment like that? Got to be an inside job. Here's Robbie's reaction anyway. "I'm obviously grand because I'm sitting here. Everything is fine" "It was just one of those small incidents. It's being taken care of at the moment, but it's nothing major. "It wasn't the house in London. It's a little minor incident that happened in Liverpool, but the police are taking care of it. "It's not a massive, massive thing. No-one is in danger or anything like that, there are just a few things gone missing, but nothing major."

    Maybe, but I doubt it's for the reasons that many like to boast about. Most don't feel the need to be as passionate for the national team as they already support a big succesful club. Obviously incidents involving Barnes and Crouch leave a bitter taste for many, but you only have to see the packed bars and pubs when England are playing in the world cup to know that really we're no different to anyone or anywhere else. My dad is from Scotland Road and laughs off this notion of 'Scouse not English'

    100 million is too much to turn down for any player. We could buy 3 genuine world class players with that amount.

    Have to say, I think all this anti England stuff is a load of nonsense. I'm no huge fan of the national team, but it's got nothing do with being scouse, and I still want them to win, especially in the major tournaments. The likes of that Peter Hooton revel in it and wear it like a badge of honour, and are usually the first to ask why don't the rest of the country like us.

    Can't see Hicks going anywhere. He's sitting on a pot of gold and knows it, and will probably bring in new minority investors. Without the burden of the stadium he should be able to refinance easily.

    Fall short currently. You'd think though the longer he's in the job the more likely at some stage he's going to at least put in a credible challenge past chrimbo.

    Best centre mid in world football. Not his fault cautious managers don't trust him. Maybe if we'd bought some quality wide men, like we should have done 5 years ago, he wouldn't need to be shunted around so much.

    Top man. Stupid time to bring a book out though. As down to earth as he is, these players are controlled by their agents.

    I lost faith ages ago. He's too scientific in his approach and either too arrogant or stubborn to change, and we'll continue to fall short no matter how much we spend.. Saying that, I'd prefer to keep him in the job long term if we keep qualifying for the CL every season. He's bound to get it right at some stage and I think he thrives as the underdog, which we are now that City have joined the party.

    All too predictable from the motorway shitter. Robbie will be a great signing.

    Never felt as apathetic going into a game against this lot. I'd be a lot more positive if thought we'd go and attack them, but it will be the usual story of keeping it tight, barely creating a chance and them sneaking the odd goal. Lets just get it over with and move on.
