Xabi is a nice passer of the ball but he's been woefully inconsistant for a good couple of seasons, and while he might have a touch better passing range, I'd prefer the other attributes that Barry would give us, like mobility, excellent delivery on set pieces and goals. Forget the games against United, it's the draws against poor sides that killed us. If you win the majority of those you'll be right up there. The games against your main rivals can always go either way and unless you're going head to head, won't have much of an impact on a title challenge. It's all about money now and we need to spend big again I feel to catch up as well as stay clear of the likes of Spurs, Villa and City, who will all be spending big themselves.
