So if I told you a current squad member told me that Kelly should now be playing centre back rather than Carragher, what would you think of that?

What evidence do you any to back up your theory that Carragher was good enough to play centre back before he was actually selected to play there. Kelly as only played about a dozen game at full back,but I'll nail my colours to the mast here and now, Kelly is/was a better full back than Carragher was without a shadow of doubt. Also partnership are about balance, with Agger providing balance on the left,whose to say Kelly and Agger couldn't provide a better partnership than Agger and Carragher. I'll concede that Carragher would have greater experience and positional sense than Kelly, but Kelly would add pace and composure even Carraghers biggest fans would find to argue with, Also Carraghers career is going one way, and Kelly's is going in the other direction.

Why is it a gamble? Carragher started out as a defensive midfielder and full back before he found his niche as centre back, Were never going to find a replacement for Carragher, by your logic then, are we? So will I trust the coaching staff to make a decision,but it will be a lot sooner than some on here would have you believe

On this site Carragher cannot be criticised in anyway shape or form, no other player (Gerrard included) is afforded any such luxury, I've been fortunate to see some great Liverpool sides over the years, but don't fall for some of the shite on here that he's irreplaceable, believe me he's not, he's been a great servant for the club but that doesn't give him any special dispensation regarding his place, this isn't a knee jerk reaction his form as dipped over the past 18 months, criticising Agger or Skrtel doesn't make Carragher a better player.

Funny how since the end of 2009 Carragher's form has dipped. Agger couldn't string two games together, Skrtel wasn't much better. Johnson wasn't a reliable right back, and Insua was playing fucking LB and Aurelio was never fit. Do me a favour, go and look in the mirror and repeat that post, you fuckin dope, Now it's every one's fault bar Carragher's.

What fuckin planet are you on, so we question whether Carragher deserves to be in the starting eleven and now were Rats, The Rats, as you so eloquently put it, will get their way not because they have been gnawing away, but because Carragher's performances have dipped in the past 18 months. Carragher not the first, nor will he be the last player to play beyond their best.
