  1. It’s going to be an extremely tough game, and, as with Man Utd, I’d be feeling more optimistic if they weren’t in such poor form. It’ll be a grind.
  2. I can’t see it being especially close in the end - we all know they’ll go on one of their runs and when they do, it’s almost certainly going to be good enough to win the title more comfortably than they did last season. We can’t afford to fall behind them at any point in the second half of the season, and that’s a massively tall order with what is effectively a two point advantage at the moment & with the AFCON looming.
  3. Game effectively over now Paqueta is off, I suspect. Can’t see Arsenal dropping points from here.
  4. Any team that wants to finish above City will have to be basically perfect in the second half of the season, given the abnormally poor run they’ve just come out of. We know what is going to happen now, especially with refs falling over themselves to help out. I’m inclined to think we can probably drop points in three more games this season, but even that sort of return might not be good enough.
  5. That is assuming they would have the slightest bit of interest in Nunez. Regardless, there’s zero reason why we shouldn’t have the funds for Osimhen, so we should be all in for him and then worry about a buyer for Nunez, which I’m not sure would be an easy task if the expectation is that we’ll bring in more than £20-30m.
  6. We’ll be behaving like the Littlest Big Club in the transfer market once more, and you know it.
  7. It’s an absolute cannot lose if we’re to stay in any sort of title race. We’ll fall away badly and end up 10-15 points behind Arsenal and City if we follow this up with a home loss.
  8. Again, Nunez has to be replaced in January. We won’t win anything with him playing such a key role.
  9. He shouldn’t have been booked, but it might be best to get Endo off at half-time. There’s no way they’ll fail to get him sent off in the second half.
  10. I’m wholly pessimistic about today’s match, but 2018-19? We beat them 3-1 at home in Mourinho’s final game.
  11. If the score stays the same, Villa will top the table next Friday if they beat Sheffield Utd at Villa Park.
  12. It’s catastrophically stupid of him to flaunt that, as if they weren’t already going to be massively up for this game after last season’s result and their recent disappointments. Add the pressure of Arsenal going back to the top, and I see them as the more likely winners today.
  13. Brighton never, ever stood a chance of getting anything from this fixture after the way they beat them last season.
  14. United’s poor results of late are a worry, and Carragher’s absurdly ill-advised jumper gives me even more cause for concern. I fear they’ll spawn a backs against the wall win tomorrow.
  15. Yeah, same. Given how tight it is and the inevitability of City going on one of their ridiculous winning runs, anything other than a win on Sunday makes Arsenal a fixture we absolutely cannot lose if we’re to remain in title contention.
  16. I hope they equalise or even win and still go out. I’d much rather be playing them off the back of a respectable result than two defeats in a row.
  17. I wouldn’t get too excited, Luton are more likely to qualify for the Champions League this season than end up with a point today, let alone three.
