Apologies if someone else has already mentioned it, but I loved that Tom Hicks decided to conduct his 'poor me' routine for the cameras in front of that pic of the stadium he never built. Spade in the ground, Tom? Spade in your feckin head, more like. Edit: Just noticed someone's written the same thing on Twitter in that column on the left over there. Well, I agree.

Andy Gray is the cuntiest cunt to ever walk God's green Earth. Tek a boo, Andrew, you effin cocksmell.

According to my legal friends, Hicks will NOT win in court. (My legal friend may be shit at law, however.)

Glad to see most agree, and don't think I'm being a bellend about it. To be honest, I think the real blame lies at the feet of the editor. What kind of editor worth his salt would think that a comment like that was a worthwhile inclusion in a video trying to portray the anger LFC people feel about Hicks and Gillett. For me, it's embarrassing, and it's debased the whole point of the video. When I saw it, all I could think was what a twat McCulloch was being and that saying things like that didn't help the cause at all. It was certainly good fodder for all my acquaintances who don't lean towards the red side of the city. Thanks Ian, you fucking moron.

Was that a helpful comment, Ian McCulloch? I don't know. I love Liverpool Football Club, and I've been as disgusted as the next man over what's happened under G'n'T, but I still think I'd be a little more upset if my whole family was raped, all at once, over a long period of time. I realise he might be 'trying to make a point', but a man over 50 years old should know better, shouldn't he? Interested to know what the rest of you think. It's not for me. Frankly, it's just been used against us, and to mock the whole video, as far as I can see. Who edited this and thought a comment like that would be great to include, FFS?

Well, he is called Jesus.

Probably us, United or Chelsea. Us and United, just for the fact that we have so many fans worldwide who aren't really attached to the club(s). As far as the Russians go, they gained a lot of new 'fans' when the money started pouring in, and would lose them as quick as you like if they got relegated, although I can't see that happening any time soon, more's the pity.

This is a reply to the OP, as I haven't read the entire thread, but I was asking my mate about him the other night (mate is a football journalist for a national newspaper), as I don't really know much (anything, if I'm honest) about him. He says that Meireles is a very good player, but something of a naughty boy. He's also of the opinion that he'll "be brilliant for two games, against Man United and Chelsea, say, then get himself sent off against Wigan in the tenth minute". We'll see. His opinion is that, with Poulsen, that is a pretty fighty midfield we've got there. If we can have the fight without the red cards, I'll be happy.

Hope so. I'm a big fan of Konchesky - rather underrated IMHO. Certainly not 'made of crisps', like the lovely, but delicate, Fabio Aurelio.

Hard to say, but I can only imagine this sort of thing will surface one way or the other. The tabs will sometimes sit on these stories for years, until the 'time is right', but with ahem and ahem, the time is probably right right now, so I wouldn't be surprised if they do their darnedest to make this public knowledge.

Is that right? Been away most of the summer, so wasn't aware of the changes. Cheers for the heads-up. -
Fixed that for you.

Little scales icon has disappeared. Anyone know why?
