  1. Why would anyone else write that and post it? Think about it. My workmate had his phone on him, so he took the picture, emailed to me and presto.
  2. Right, seeing as that thread was deleted. And I was wrong, I apologise.
  3. I do apologise. The cunt statement was uncalled for. He is stubborn and arrogant however. I'm not a glory hunter, but I do crave glory, but just with Liverpool. Oh and as far as respect is concerned what happened to when people were nailing Houllier to the cross? No respect then? Or Souness? Thought so. As far as me being Momo, well it's clear you lot are more paranoid than anything else. I don't like Rafa anymore, I don't think he's treated a lot of players fairly, so what's happenening to him is no surprise. Yes the owners are bastards, but it's the way of the world. He treated Henchoz, Cisse and now Crouch like nothing but cogs in the wheel without really letting them go in the right way. Now the owners are doing the same to him. I'd say it's a harsh case of Karma. I'll call whoever I fucking like a cunt. No need to go all realfan on me and go 'I'm shocked'. He's not god, far from it. But yes, he isn't a cunt.
  4. I'd rather be shit and win games than be shit and lose games. We've never been attractive under Rafa apart from the odd fancy game so I see no real change in the style of football if O'Neill and Mourinho come in. I do see a change in the way the relationships are forged between manager and player though. Rafa's distant thing doesn't work if there isn't anybody to put an arm around a player's head and headlock them, and I think Pako did that, and anybody else would do that as well. We need that now. If Hicks is backing Benitez, let him get Sammy Lee in. It'll be interesting to see if there's a change in motivations, because right now, most of them just seem to playing for the sake of it.
  5. Raul's been fantastic this season. Julio Cruz. Deco Gilardino.
  6. In parts, RiS. I think there's no one good enough apart from Mourinho to take over. If he says no, just back Rafa to the hilt and hope for something. Not that it'll happen. I think a clear out and a new assistant manager will not only do wonders for our budget, but it will also put the fear of death into the more egotistical players who might take Rafa for granted. Personally I'd let him go though and get Mourinho in at all costs. I find it funny when people go 'I don't want that arrogant cunt at my club'. Well I'd rather have an outspoken arrogant cunt who wins things rather than a stubborn arrogant cunt who wins things once in a while.
  7. For fuck's sake Rafa's failed to mount a challenge not for 1 but for 4 years. It's like as if football only started when the Yanks took over. We haven't challenged for a title for yonks, and we haven't in the last 4 years under Rafa either. I've lost faith in him, because I genuinely don't think he can win the League. He can do Europe, I'm sure, but he just doesn't have the motivational skills or ideas on how to win a League successfully. In Spain drawing away is no biggie, every team does it. Here you draw away, you get fucked, and in most cases you also concede a dodgy goal and lose. Hell we're drawing at home as well, which is an even bigger fuck up. Our home form hasn't been this bad for a while now.
  8. Mourinho. He's the only available manager who could do squat with our side, and there's no one else really to get in.
  9. It's a bit obvious that there is a mild addition of sensationalism to his story, but I reckon that's more to do with the editors than him alone. Like you said there's an NOTW House Style, something governed by the NOTW itself, not the writers. His stories are still reliable as ever, and his match reports albeit a bit more damning, haven't changed that much. I remember him destroying Zenden a couple of times along with a couple other players, so I see no major difference there. Either way, he's a journalist, not someone important enough to fret 9 pages over. Let it go. He's a good red, a good journalist, and someone who's done far more to bring the truth to the table than all the other rags put together.
  10. personally rather than spend 30 million each season on 4 squad players, he could've used the last 4 years addressing one issue at a time instead, and strengthening us with a couple top top quality players per year.
  11. Perfect bluff. After all this I see no reason why DIC would go for Newcastle fucking United. We're both fucked up clubs at the moment, sure, but we're a far healthier option than a club full of Geordie cunts.
  12. Dudek Finnan Carragher Hyypia Riise Gerrard Murphy Hamann Kewell Owen Baros That would be Rafa's team I guess if he hadn't been able to buy or sell anyone. Apart from Mascherano, Reina and Torres, there's nobody else in our current squad that would get a look in to that team even. Agger's good, but Hyypia's better. Arbeloa's good, but Finnan's more dependable head to head. Alonso's been hogwash since the end of 2005/06. After 4 years are we in a better position? Not really. He's made mistakes which he hasn't recitified, something we had under Houllier as well.
  13. Not a top post, just some emotional moron who's letting exactly that, emotion cloud his judgement.
  14. Mourinho flopped hard in the one season he didn't get money? Enlighten me if I'm wrong, but didn't he get Shevchenko and Ballack and was forced to play them? That's not called not having money, that's called having an owner who calls the shots. In his final season he was a dead man walking anyway.
  15. I wonder how Gary Mac will feel about leaving Leeds :P
  16. His achievements? He's won one FA Cup and a European Cup. Yes it's good, but what about the League form? Is that an achievement? No. Ged did pretty much the same in the League with a shitter side. Hell Ged even finished 2nd.
  17. Fickle is the perfect word here. When Bascombe printed the 'Rafa will get the sack' article people slated him for being an NOTW cunt. Then when Hicks came out with the truth, everybody goes 'Oh Bascombe was right all along'. Now that he's critical of the manager, 'Oh Bascombe's a sensationalist cunt'. There's no winning with certain fans, who just love the 'holier than thou' approach to anything football.
  18. Yep, because a single line post without any justification is always what's needed to prove a point.
  19. If he had written the same article for the Echo nobody would've made such a big hooplah about it. Fact. Personally all newspapers are the same, regardless of name. It's the journalists though who make the difference. The mirror's shite but Reade's pretty good, ditto for Kay at the Times and so on and so.
  20. He's sided with Rafa for ages, whilst Rafa was in danger and actually right. Now it's more down to Rafa that we're playing badly, and not the owners. Hell they're not even on the same continent.
  21. Last I heard Bascombe was a journalist, not a former player, or a player. I respect his opinion, but I can't see the point of people getting so angry about him. He's a good journalist who's consistently reported the right news through the echo and throught the NOTW for quite some time now. People gave him shite during the Fowler saga and now during the Rafa saga. The difference is he's got far more sources now compared to the just one Houllier then. His sources haven't changed since joining the NOTW, just the difference he's got to compile a week's worth information into a couple articles on a Sunday. I'd rather believe him than anyone else that's for sure. The most important factor is that we're in club in the shits now. Not because of Bascombe, Rob Beasley, the News of the World or the Sun, but because of our owners, our manager and our players. I do disagree on your statement regarding Parry and Moores, chrisb, because I reckon they're the ones who got us into this shit in the first place, and you remember them more than anyone else. I'll explain. The massive PR regarding Dubai during the talks in December 06, then the breakdown which you had to report whilst putting your backside on the line, and then having to cover the Yanks without being allowed to their first Press Conference even. Don't give them a thank you plug, because it's bit you in the arse, believe me. The rest of the article was spot on.
