Actually I read an interview with Rafa in which he was lauding Babel's ability as a striker and saying something like 'we'll have to give him a go up front at some point, I think he'll do well' so I think it's only a matter of time

I agree; quite a few times he starts a move well, going past players, doing a few tricks and using his pace but then seems to lose belief; almost as if he thinks 'I've got past two players and run a hundred yards, I surely can't do much more now without being stopped' and so he gets stopped. He needs more belief and confidence but that will come. he reminds a bit of Anelka when he was at Arsenal, but not as confident (or stroppy).
