They are re-negotiating them; there's a strong possibility the banks will require settlement in January (the option to defer to July is just an option) and if so they'll be working on negotiations now. You don't start doing it the week before you know.

According to Mihir Bose's anti-DIC article in the Telegraph they were intending to borrow £300m out of a total £450m spend which would include purchase and stadium. That to me sounds like borrowing £300m for the stadium but spending 150m cash to buy the club. Infinitely better than what we now have. Borrowing to build the stadium is standard practice which no-one has any problems with. Buying the club with cash would have obviated costly debt servicing costs. And remember these are details from a supposedly anti-DIC article. You can't know that at all. It's just negative speculation on your part.

Sorry but what exactly did you expect them to do? They came in, made a generous offer, upped it, tried to buy both parties' shares, when that didn't transpire they tried to buy Gillet's; when Hicks demurred they tried to buy a 49% minority only for Hicks to tell them to fuck off after agreeing in writing to meet them, so they tried again to buy both shares only to see Hicks touting the club around the US and London ready to take anyone's money in order to buy out Gillett who in turn has said in public he won't be selling to Hicks etc etc ad infinitum So what exactly have DIC done wrong in your jaundiced opinion?

Indeed, esp as Babel could play in any of the three positions. Assuming Gerrard stays central, Villa could have his pic of left or right of Gerrard And even Ronaldo is doing his best work coming in as more as a sort of auxiliary striker than a winger.

Does that mean if we meet AC next year they'll have a similar banner about Inter? ;)

Yep as a relative newbie myself I've seen others do this and it's been disgusting; I reckon I should wait around and see if he really is all that before I start laying into him, as opposed to just obsequiously following the pack.
