  1. If Aurelio is allowed to stay at the club beyond this season, despite him being awarded a moronic 2 yr extension in the summer, serious questions need to be asked about the competence of people at LFC.
  2. Heard on the radio last night the the owl died.
  3. Purely hypothetical; even if it was under consideration, would it be feasible as Everton are totally skint; how would they stump up their half of the finances?
  4. Football transfer rumours: Mario Götze to Manchester United? | Football | guardian.co.uk Simon Burnton Serial Sissoko-signers Liverpool are close to a summer deal for Toulouse's 21-year-old midfield ace Moussa, and secured the juvenile transfer of the week by bringing in Bradford's 14-year-old defender Nial Heaton. Overworked Anfield scouts have also been casting their covetous eyes over Feyenoord's Georginio Wijnaldum.
  5. Fair to say FSG would've been very inclined to this idea had it not been for fans' disapproval?
  6. I remember a few years ago he was on talksport and when we came into the discussion he said in a very unequivocal and insistent manner that Everton were much bigger than us! Even Mike Parry, who was co-hosting the show and is a fellow blue, was lost for words with Kenwright's delusion! Well, the man does engage in fantasy for a living.
  7. @TonyBarretTimes Tony Barrett What a game Izaguirre's had for Celtic. Ridiculous energy levels. Left back & left winger rolled into one
  8. If Moyes walks in the summer and they try to go for Owen Coyle, anyone reckon they'd be able to get him?
  9. Heaton looks a big lad (don't know how to paste pics directly): Liverpool snap up a third Bantams teenager (From Bradford Telegraph and Argus)
  10. Very interesting view mate. If Kenny is appointed as perm, I guess we'll find out when things take shape next season.
  11. I really like Spearing. I think he is good enough to be part of our squad in the future. Although some players at the club, including youngsters, have a size advantage over him. Shame, as in that position, in the PL, size does matter, and taller players will be more of an asset when it comes to defending set pieces etc. Spearing is a leader though; has got drive and is prepared to take responsibility and impose himself. I've always liked him. Kenny clearly does too having started with him in the Mersey derby. John McMahon also eulogizing about Wisdom's presence and influence. He clearly has ability, and if deemed good enough, I think his personality will help him get fast tracked into the 1st team squad sooner than others. Pacheco and Ngog are obviously different types of strikers, with Pacheco more suited to playing behind the main forward. If Ngog gets the nod over him as the main striker and that's the position that needs to be filled, fair enough; but Jovanovic getting a chance over him is bewildering.
  12. Pacheco's technique and ball retention is better though mate. And he has a better football brain. Not saying he is the answer, but surely he will be more of an asset than Jovanovic and Ngog?
  13. At 17, he's a courageous leader. While Skrtel is a gutless liability.
  14. If Kenny feels Pacheco isn't good enough now or in the long term, that's fair enough. But how the likes of Jovanovic and Ngog could get opportunities ahead of him is just baffling.
  15. The incisiveness of some of Spearing's passing has been impressive.
  16. All the streams on the various sites are being shown on Veetle. They all go offline after a few minutes. Anyone got any steady streams please, PM me if necessary? Thanks.
  17. I haven't seen much of Robinson's defensive game. I know he is very good at going forward and is technically accomplished. Do you think Robinson is as good defensively as he is at attacking?
  18. Wisdom's certainly a leader. It bodes well that we have got so many youngsters who have got leadership qualities. John Flanagan seems to have what it takes. I know people say good things about him. The little I've seen of him, he seems to have the fundamentals: technical ability, intelligence, confidence, good awareness and an air of authority about him. You look at certain players and believe straight away that they've got it. Rob Jones when making his debut away against Man U at 19, taking a big leap from Crewe, instantly showed that he had what it takes. The first time I saw Hyypia play was in a preseason friendly and he displayed these characteristics and just oozed quality with his presence, regardless of the opposition. M Kelly instantly demonstrated these attributes in abundance. I get the same feeling with Flanagan. They just looked assured and fill you with confidence. I'm looking forward to seeing Wisdom in action, as I've never seen him play before.
  19. Have you seen much of Wisdom mate? What are his standout qualities that make you believe he has what it takes? I don't know if you saw the 18/19 yr old Sol Campbell or have much recollection of him; if so, how would you compare Wisdom to a player like that at a similar age?
  20. The goalkeeper, Yusuf Mersin from Millwall, anyone know if he's the 1st choice keeper for our u16s? Anyone seen anything of the other U16 players that have been mentioned ( I only know that striker Dave Moli, signed from Luton in Nov 09, is supposed to be a big lad)?
