  1. Hi guys , I'm new to the forum so here goes my take on Brendan. I've never been 100% behind him and many times I'm concerned at his tactics and team selections, yesterday was a case in point, for me and I think most LFC fans were surprised that we start off with one striker who at the moment appears not just short on confidence but skill as well. The team has no width but Brendan persists in his tactics by playing Lallana on the left, I thought Coutinho should have started instead and Lambert should have started instead of Allen. In the second half this was what happened and the teams performance improved to a point where we were unlucky not to take three points. The first half was like it has been in all previous games bar the Spurs one. We've never really looked like scoring, our build up is laborious and slow and I get nightmares watching Skyrtel and Lovren passing the ball about mainly to themselves but Brendan persists and seems reluctant to change. He talks about flexibility but I don't see it, he maintains that he's proud of the character and effort by our players but these attributes are not winning games for us and I would question the word character used to describe some of our players. I sometimes think that he's picking teams for damage limitation because with one man up front like Mario he knows it doesn't work but he still does it. I could go on and ask why on earth we bought Mario who failed at some of the top clubs in Europe, yet we'd had the whole of the transfer window to replace Suarez and ended up with the 32 year old Lambert and a guy with so much baggage it's frightening. Our midfield needed stiffening up, hopefully Can will do that but the quality of our buys make me think that none of them are game changers. Look at Chelsea, two buys Costa and Fabregas, who cost less than our spend and the impact they've made was instant. Brendan says his buys need time to settle in but do they ? Are they good enough ? All in all I've no wish to be a pessimist but Brendan does cause me concern
