Derby on LFCTV now. Convinced Coutinho has to start and I think the big difference will be Gerrard. If half the player that showed up in Derby arrives we'll win. First 20 minutes he was as good as I've ever seen him, his passion and drive was incredible. He allowed us the platform to kick on and without Coutinho to take advantage I'm not sure we would have controlled play as well with such a threat. If that Gerrard shows up and we have no one to link the attack it will be criminal. Fuck fear, trust Gerrard's big game attitude and destroy them from the start. Does nobody remember how atrocious we were with Coutinho benched in first game against arsenal? Only when Coutinho came on did anything remotely ressembling a threat occur.

No chance any player of top quality is signing without assurances from Rodgers face to face. Someone on here called this just before team left on tour and everyone forgot it very quickly. I completely agree with this. Alonso had a very average couple of seasons as well. I think he will turn his form around and return to being one of the best keepers in the world. The far away grass isn't always greener...

Ye I agree with that with regards to league cup. Hard to be overly pissed off considering the team. We still shouldn't get our arses handed to us by Swansea at home but we are going to have games like this through the season.

Exactly. It is a sad state of affairs to be having such a fit at this stage - 9 league games in... We will end up in massive trouble if this habbit of sacking the manager every season persists. He needs time and as people have said a proper transfer window. We are playing a team of kids at the moment because he was forced into it. In fairness the kids have been great but it's hard to expect them to be world beaters in their first Senior season. Hopefully given time and some transfer budget they will be rotated into the squad at different times and be allowed to develop without the weight of pressure they are currntly under. Some perspective is needed and people have to get a grip. There were only a couple of games this season that we have actually got outplayed and with a few decent additions and more experince in the team you would hope that we would become much more ruthless. We won't get anything out of this season and people have to comes to terms with that, what we will get is some stability from a management perspective and as the players get more familiar and confident in the regime they will get better as a team. No manager in the world right now could come in and do much better, its nonsense. Look at Klopp with Dortmund, he didn't do it over night. Give Rodgers a break, i think he may build something competitive here that we can all be proud of. We are sounding like Newcastle fans at the moment....

To be honest Johnson is great from the left and Wisdom hasn't put a foot wrong. Kid is doing great and Johnson is one of our most potent attackers so why should Enrique get in just because he has a left foot? He hasn't deserved his place and has to earn it. In my opinion that is a huge plus with Rodgers - he has no time for threading water. Enrique when he gets a chance again will come back like the player we bought because if he doesn't he is dropped!

I generally agree with your sentiment in that it's not just blind faith. You dig heels in as much as you can and I reckon a lot of it is just banter fuel, funny though. I admire the fact that you can point out against the grain the failures that a lot of us don't see (me included) because of blind faith but this is misguided and wrong. Really? He was quality. First game against Sunderland, next against Arsenal and so on for about half a season give or take a few games. He has been cack for awhile but fuck off with that.
