I wanted to watch that last night but missed it unfortunately. It seems that the country takes the assumption that footballers give nothing back to the community when an awful lot do. As pointed out earlier Carsley does a lot of work for Down Syndrome charities while Robbie Fowler also kitted out a few schools in Toxteth with all new computer equipment. I'm sure there's plenty more work that goes against the tabloid myth that all footballers are lazy, arrogant, spit roasers. Is it because footballers are usually from working class backgrounds that people don't like to see them earning this money?
