  1. Can someone please explain how I can attach a picture to a thread?
  2. Alot of people are hung up over the fact that Rafa played 3-5-2 against newcastle last season and quickly infer that this is our new formation, thus ignoring that he has mostly chosen 4-4-1 in the Premiership, and 4-2-3-1 while at Valencia. His close season signings suggest alot more to me that we will see alot more of the latter this season. The point I want to make though is that Rafa likes possibilities and rotation so we should expect to see alot of changes between games now that we have a fuller sqaud as opposed to one line-up with one formation.
  3. According to the echo he's fit (along with Robbie). Sunday is a nothing match and a chance to let him play against one of the better teams in the league. Riise was off the pace on Wednesday and this could be a gentle reminder that he needs to hit form to keep his place. I'm also guessing Stevie will be on the right of midfield with Warnock on the left.
  4. There was a thread about this earlier in the week. It is being shown on a German Channel (DLS?) so I assume it can be seen in LFC friendly pubs.
  5. Michael from Ireland, moving very soon with the family to Brussels. This will make me sound like a glory glory fan, but I started supporting the reds the night we beat Borussia Monchengladbach way back in the 70's. My cousin's enthusiasm for LFC totally rubbed off on me. I'm 34 years old with two kids (second due to be born any day now) and I work in sales but I've got a plan to move into film making in the not too distant future. My eldest son is six years old and I'm proud to say he is as passionate about the reds as I am. My all time hero is King Kenny :-) http://youtube.com/watch?v=6pT2ROTnQf8
  6. united are drafting in smudger to play striker, says it all really. does this mean that Ferguson was wrong and Smith isn't the new Keane
  7. just watched this clip on you tube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B45_QpPUL3c&search=alves apologies if this has already been posted, but I have to say I was blown away by this clip, and against PL opposition. He has pace, strenght and movement in abundance, and is not afraid to get the tackles in. Stuart Downing looks as if he is ready to cry at one point such is the miss-match.
  8. That's the chelsea shirt with a little help from photoshop.
  9. Mascherano will go to one of the clubs with real financial clout, and that no longer includes united. If he is sold he will cost 30 million at least. The wc has increased his reputation which was already well known. He will end up at Milan/Madrid/Chelsea. Carrick is good, but not quite in the Alonso class (fulfill very similar roles).
  10. Hey Fester, what is your Koptalk alias? I'm also a recent convert to this far superior forum in case you're wondering.
  11. even against the hammers we looked like we lacked a cutting edge from the wings, in fact a lack of pace was very evident. I like the idea of Stevie in the centre with Alves and Speedy on either side of him, supported by Xabi's range of passing and Momo's bouncer routine (thou shalt not pass). We'll also have a shed load of free kick options next year, on top of Stevie, Xabi and JAR.
  12. Good point, although I guess we should've/could've had alot more points against those clubs. Momo was missing against the Arse at Highbury, and wasn't risked against United at Anfield. Not sure if he played in the 4-1 loss to the chavs.
  13. One of the areas where Arsenal, Chelsea and United have had an advantage over us is pace in attack, especially from wide areas. Gerrard certainly provides pace, but Gonzales and Alves would seem to have incredible pace. Has anyone seen the clip from the gonzales website where he just leaves his marker for dead? Faster than Djibs and he doesn't knock the ball forward to run onto.
  14. Gerrard has just had his best season goal scoring wise, and has really developed the attacking side of his game in the season just finished. Furthermore Xabi and Momo are bossing play in cm in a way that we have not seen since Molby was spraying the ball around. Our top target is Alves, who is equally comfortable at rb as he is at rm. We all know Rafa likes to have 'possibilities'. The question I'd like to raise is how often will we see Gerrard on the right again next season, and how much of a chance is there that we could see more of the Valencia 4-2-3-1 formation next season with Gerrard at the centre of the 3 attacking mids with Gonzales and Alves (if we sign him) on either side?
  15. However, having just checked my credit card statement I was shocked to see that Koptalk had initiated a debit from my credit card via paypal for £26. This is the straw that broke the camel's back, time to call a solicitor :wallbutt:
  16. is this the same guy who almost headed the ball into his own net when under absolutely no pressure against Ecuador?
  17. I fully understand our history, and why we don't support the Sun, but was fooled into PAYING for a forum because at the time I wasn't aware of who the owner of the site was. I assumed all Liverpool fans were on the web for the same reason, to discuss team and club affairs, and to share information with regards to what goes on. Two years I spent on that forum, and got through more than 20 failed insider stories, the most memorable being a thread about David Beckham being lined up by Rafa. This was posted by a guy called Johnny H who was supposed to be infallible. Are Dunk's other sites (Spurs and Newcastle) pay per scoop? How does internet law in the UK treat advertising malpractise, for example selling access to a service (inside information) that doesn't exist?
